Somewhere deep in a French forest, an explorer stumbles upon a mysterious hatch. He opens it to reveal a long staircase descending into the darkness below. As he then climbs down into the unknown, he finds himself at the heart of an enormous bunker. And, as it happens, it’s crammed with relics from a bygone age. So just what has he discovered, buried beneath the earth?

I can explain a few things, I took (most) of the photos. There was no pill box, at least that is not how we got in. It is a old sandstone quarry network in Northern France, it has been used for many things over the years; bunkers in WW1, WW2 and most recently up to the 70s by in international military forces (I’m deliberately being vague to hide where it is), most recently its been a mushroom farm. So there is crap from all those times. The cannons are real, the vehicles are real, they are all in the same quarry and they are from a time about 60 years apart. It is not the epic explore this vid makes it out to be.

Is love to find one and explore except for one thing...I’d be worried about what chemical/radioactive materials were stored there...what would I be breathing in there...why was it abandoned-was there a hazardous spill? Etc

Why would the be an assortment of abandoned military gear in one area covering the late 19th century through to the mid to late 20th century and both French and German equipment. If this was still used as a military establishment through till the 1970s at the earliest there should be record of, why did the soldiers not clear the old obsolete gear and why was it abandoned with seemingly operational vehicles.

If these vehicles are the same as was found and appear to be so unless having had major time down to photoshop was done, tires from back then for one were constructed of completely different than they are today! Well not completely but different and military would have been the absolute best they had and on top of that there is the depth they are supposed to be at and lack of change in temperature which also plays a role!!! And this is also almost 200 years ago now, who's to say they didn't especially being field vehicles at all points or any point have to use a gaseous substance like nitrogen or something to inflate the tires if they are even inflatable for that matter!!!
