I was a criminal for 20 years, and one thing I've learned is, once they got you, they got you. All that running your mouth and struggling after the arrest does nothing but get you a rough ride to the station and your phone call forgotten. If you go easy, they go easy. Cops understand this is a game too, as long as you're not a sore loser, most of them soften up a lot once the cuffs are on. Don't get me wrong, some cops are dicks all the way around, but most of them are normal dudes doin a job.

You don't know your rights because when a officer asks for your name or ID during a investigation and you say no you broke the law and now they can and will arrest you

Every news article I'd read about this first guy highlights the fact that he's screaming abuse at the officer who saved his life, and he's previously been convicted of burglary and assault on a PO so yeah he's just a massive POS and that officer definitely shouldn't have saved him that night

When I got my driver’s license at 15 years, 8 months, Mom and Dad to me if I ever got into trouble with the police my license would be held until I was 21 years old. I respected them and my license.

Here in any the judges got sick of women taking out an RO Friday night and dropping it Monday morning so now when they come in and try to drop it, he tells them no and gives them a minimum of 6 months non contact. Then women would get back with the dude and see them anyways and the 1st fight they have she has the power to say, “there’s a no contact order arrest him” and it all came down to the original suspect even if the victim trapped them. Now if they get caught together, our cops arrest both and they both get $10,000 bail for felony contempt of court.

Sadly, the last young man was mental and probably could have been de-escalated if that department had an officer properly trained to deal with those in mental crisis. I know it's not easy, I just think every department should have at least 1 such trained officer on every shift, if not multiple officers.

The reason why in the second incident court delayed "resisting arrest" charges because cops were CLEARLY out of order.. the guys is lucky they didn't execute him there and then for "reaching" to get his seatbelt.. the other two individuals in the car were also "lucky" for not getting beaten-up by insane cops.. Why do we never see shit like this in Europe..? Cops shooting people dead left and right..? People getting arrested for refusing to give an ID or jay-walking and then getting slapped with charges like "resisting arrest" and "obstructing police", etc..? Perhaps if American cops would get ACTUAL training, especially on de-escalation, and ONLY using firearms when shot-at first.. even in war zones military has to abide by that very law.. which is insane, when you think about it, that trigger-happy cop unleashes entire magazine into some poor shmuck who might've "twitched" a little, or had an "object" in his/her hand and made a "move", even though the distance in-between was 15 meters.. in UK cops don't even carry firearms.. they have a special unit that is deployed ONLY when there is an ACTUAL CONFIRMED ARMED THREAT, or active terrorist alert, and they ONLY engage when the suspect opens fire (even then, if no one's hit, they still try to persuade suspect to surrender).. oh well, to each its own..
