It has to be so frustrating sparring mayweather, your the one taking it ultra seriously but Floyd is just babying you the whole time like a grandmaster
It's almost like he disses them to get them to react....then evades the attack. Over and over...to get them tired physically and mentally. If this is the case...that is top level fighting. Get in your opponents head...make them gas out from their own impulse.
I’d still be honored to get to spar Mayweather, the shit that you would learn just from a sparring sesh w/ the goat is crazy. On top of that he’s good enough to not have to beat you up and hurt you
Those are not reactions or reflexes. Those are the eyes of a master that sees everything coming seconds ahead of time so he doesn't have to have reflexes or speed.
It’s both. He is anticipating certain punches that will likely be thrown in exchanges, but when they’re on the outside and the guy is throwing jabs, those are pure defensive reflexes from Floyd
Jarvis courageous though. I would of politely refuse the "honor" lol He is very old (almost 50) to have such abnormal reflexes and timing. Those are typically young men qualities.
Floyd probably has over 30,000 hours of punching and having punches thrown at him, it’s automatic at this point. This sparring session is like a conversation between a professor and a middle school kid.
Take away all of Floyd’s wealth and material gains the man is a legend in his own presence dedication defined by his living days hate the person or love him he has earned his status as the goat only haters wanna hate but real ppl see the man is great
Good lesson for Jarvis though. Keep your hands up. People tend to mimic the greats thinking that is the best style. But tend to forget that they have been doing this everyday from the age of like 6. They see the punches before you throw them so they get away with having there hands down.
Floyd makes it look to easy.. I'll never forget while in A Championship match he jump in A conversation mid way threw the fight about a wager on who to placed a bet on..😂😂
Everyone is an elite boxer in comments, but Im just a beginner: but ONE THING is OBVIOUS- Jarvis shouldve figured out a long time ago that he needed to adopt a high guard when facing someone as fast as Maywheather. It wouldve saved him ALOT of those shots to his face. Generally, speedsters have a low, philly shell, or no guard. Ali boxed with his hands down because he was fast.
You just a beginner yet you will give advices to someone's who did much more sparring than you ? As you go tired, it's hard to keep your hand up, and the high guard is definitly not perfect guard neither. Floyd is so fast he will aim the body, and hit the gloves to create space to land his punches
floyd is defensive and energy efficient in his fights. You'll hit him twice, he will hit you 10 times. It's about fighting smart and strategic. imho thats what i always found so special about floyyd, how easy he makes the fight and how efficient he is with every single movement.
If your a pro boxer and see this video and don’t learn from it than boxing isn’t for you this video is a Gem never seen anything like this from Floyd he showed more than any session for any fight enjoy.

Jarvis punching is technically good he just needs to commit to 3s,4s even more after the jab. Jab gets blocked at least you got his hands up in high gaurd follow it up to the body or around the gaurd with hooks. He also is keeping a really low gaurd against someone who can punch lightning fast which isn’t working at all he should’ve realised how many times he was getting caught with a low gaurd. Course all I’ve said won’t win against Floyd and he’d be open to counters but he could’ve landed a lot more with a bit more work

I could never spar Mayweather, it wouldn’t learn shit cuz he would be too fast it would be just like this a video of him tagging my ass up, I train but at 45 I am nowhere near what I need to be to even come close to that. Love watching it though
