Today Floyd Mayweather surprised the media and did a full sparring session. Nationboxing.com Thanks to everyone that donated to my channel which allows me to provide more content for you guys. To Donate: paypal dontae562@gmail.com
Floyd doesn't look like his coming up to 40 years old, dude is quicker then the younger fighters, if you don't find this impressive you must be a hater.
Exactly! Haters only enjoy 1st Rd KO's. Don't even understand that boxing is about "skill" not who has the best KO percentage. Floyd is the best Boxer of this generation period. Haters are more loyal than fans.
I said this at least a year ago, the art of boxing is dying, Floyd is the only one who has kept it alive. Fans that believe getting hit is part of the job, doesn't understand the actual art of boxing.
Very discipline He’s able to slow it down for Us, and even tho his opponent is still growing he is still a student learning how to adjust and break him down. Always beautiful work and he doesn’t take the easy way out. Floyd knows how to beat you and he’s a student in all situations that’s why to me his so dangerous in my opinion.
@@naeemislam1105 naw sparring can get more serious than a real match, all the shit talking, the people RIGHT on the side of the ring talkin shit, you ain’t tryna get dropped in the gym or look like no punk. That shit serious bro it’s not “just sparring”
@Anthony Yeah he had to adapt, he has fucced up hands, and I'd rather leave rich than fucced up and unable to enjoy my riches due to brain damage, but Floyd is good at evading punches in the poccet without baccing up or ring movement.
Anthony should probably stick to what you know about cats, most boxers know that Floyd was and still is better than Canelo and triple g. Also Errol Spence is a better match up if you wanna see Floyd lose his 0.
People talk about how amazing floyd stamina is, but he is not tired because he saves his energy not throwing stupid punches, only the ones that connect and are of high chance landing, the guys is a complete genius
cardiomanify watch the other guy's head and foot movement, the pattern never changes. Any time he moves his left foot, his head moves to the left, right foot, his head moved to the right. You can pick up on that to know where his head Is gonna be, and anticipate where to place your jab.
+Bryant Fluker My trainer never really took the trouble to explain such things to me. I always feel I am just throwing random punches... I know Floyd has the best ring IQ and everytime he fights, I am always wondering, "what is Floyd seeing right now that I am not? What openings and what traps is he trying to set? How does he spring those traps?" I don't believe Floyd throws random punches. He has a reason for everything he does. He's my boxing hero.
Floyd hits everybody with this counter punch at 17:12. What's amazing about it is that he's dodges the punch an inch away from his face and nothing more. By dodging within an inch he's already winding up for a counter while the opponents jab is still returning from the missed punch. Insane
Because most people haven't throw or taken a single punch in their life. Anyone who has stepped into the ring and competed, be that as a pro or even a "light sparring" between gyms, can appreciate what this dude can do. We all like those fights that are true wars, but there isn't a single boxer who wouldn't fight like Mayweather if they could pull it off. Retire undefeated, with their health intact, and richer than any other athlete on the world... what a fucking dream. Whatever kind of douche he is outside of the ring, he's a master at his craft, he has kept himself in shape during his whole career (even now, that he's retired, he doesn't get carried away and still trains and keeps his weight in check), and has known how to evolve according to his age and physical limitations. Those are things every person who has fought can learn from. Does that mean he should be people favorite fighter? fuck no, his fights are in fact sometimes boring, but it's not his fault no other boxer on the planet has cracked his code.
This is wonderful. The craft and skills of this man never cease to amaze even the critics. He made a whooping of an active young boxer. And he's retired, not to mention he's in his 40's.
Don Moore made a great impression no doubt he is undefeated. But he was sparring the Best Ever and I clearly saw young Don's limits as Floyd still looked ready to run a marathon. Ramon Montano was totally exhausted that Floyd asked him to leave and called in Don. I liked Don's technique I guess Floyd appreciated it too. How can people hate hard worker? Crazy people.
the most important factor is Just stay consistent on your roadwork imo. I mean, i doubt Floyd has ever woken up and said "fuck this i cant put in the miles"
Floyd has to be one of the most frustrating boxers to fight.. he might not have that much power behind his punches but he’s extremely sharp and fast when he throws them.. not being able to hit him and constantly having your head popped back from a jab or a straight right can make anyone lose their composure
Floyd has a 50% knock out rate. He mad the decision to be a more defensive finesse type of fighter, not only to preserve is mental alertness after retirement but also because he was breaking his hands.
Floyd when he was young and in his prime was a knockout machine before he damaged his hands knocking everyone out. Many boxers are even lucky they never have to face Floyd floyd when he was in his prime with dynamite hands
@@JimmyJohnson7077 Prime Floyd definitely punched hard especially before he damaged his hands. And it’s no just up top, floyd’s body shots were brutal too 🥊
OH MAN.. floyd is a mutant .. the timing ,speed, reflexes and technique are put of this world ..i like pacquiao ..i think pacman is even faster and stronger but.. this style man floyd has is out of this world.. its unbelievable
chris zarganis I agree, I think Floyd has some special kind of ability of breaking down everything his opponent does and has then use them to his advantage, from their stance, jabs, left&right hooks, movement, power, speed, reaction and breathing. At first I thought it was just great reflexes and reaction Floyd just possessed but now I just think its him anticipating his opponents moves lol I believe he's always thinking in the ring and I always noticed how Floyd puts himself in a type of position/stance to set up his opponents.
chris zarganis Not really you guys just have him in a high pedestal.and everyone that fights him never really goes in there to fight him. But chino maidana did give him an ass whooping
Kathy Ayala they're professional fighters, what do you mean they don't go to fight him? Most of them want to kill Floyd before the bell. But they lose confidence after missing so much and getting countered.
been practicing boxing for a while now and damn, everything about Floyd’s technique is pure magic, the timing, the speed, the movement, that shoulder roll is absolutely perfect. props to Don Moore tho
Don actually did pretty good in this session, he was never in any real trouble and he landed some flush shots on one of the best to ever do it. This was good.
I was one of floyds biggest critics when it came to boxing. But after watching his craft for a while, I'm amazed how he perfected it. He breaks fighters down mentally then physically. #GivePropsWhenDue #StillTeamCanelo lol
Sergio Palacios I fucking hate when people talk about oh Floyd's a fucking runner. No sir you're just an idiot 😂 How many times has mayweather planted his feet right in front of his opponent and used pull counters and head movement to break them down both physically and mentally? oh yeah 49 times lol well not exactly but the record speaks for itself.
Brooks Hitchcock 😂😂 man like I said you have to actually sit there and watch him do work and not judge based off feelings. I was one of them but after going back and re watching his fights the man is a monster.
Sergio Palacios agreed! he is a fucking machine! he has endurance and skill that we have rarely seen in boxing, let alone any other sport. His defense is fucking immaculate, he is great at reading his opponents and using their strengths against them. All these shit talkers are biased lol they have no clue what their really watching. There's a reason he has yet to be defeated.
Tristan Daniel i mean. If you remember floyd and this guy wanted a serious match but in a sparring fashion. Thats why floyd was getting mad and competitive and saying oh hell naw all the time 😂 this wasnt just some sparring match
If you haven’t sparred before, Confidence is number 1 important, if you don’t feel confident in your ability you lose it even if you’re better than your opponent, this happens to boxers when they fight big names
Love the smack MWjr is talkin when sparring this young bloke, accuracy and reading movement, sees everything like it was in slowmo, did you listen to the Bruce Lee noises at the start of the session haha
Floyd is just at a totally different level with boxing. A level that not to many boxers achieved. Wow... he's just amazing how well he understands boxing.
@@kingwillie206 meh manny has a better record and above Mayweather in my opinion but they both go down in history the top 5 best fighters in the boxing generation
This guy floyd was something else in the ring. I’m talking only in the ring he was the best to elevate the game in a much fun way. Introducing defense, countering off the ropes, his footwork, head movement, and his reflexes you name it he had it all mastered. It was fun watching him break down his opponents and adjusting during the fight. This guy in my opinion was the best to ever do it, no disrespect to all the other legends.
You have to spar constantly, it's basically repetitiveness that will help you. The more you do something the more you start getting used to it. Yes it does takes skills and a good boxing IQ, but overall it also takes hard work & dedication.
Napoleonic Floyd with the paper punch. If boxing was all just slapping like Floyd does boxing would suck. His punches land like he is punching a refrigerator. In short his punches do not hurt enough to make his running away fun to watch. Just personal preference I guess.
Zachary Lippa Uve never liked the tmt vibe tbh. Floyd is amazing bjj doubt, but I don't like the way he bullies other fighters. I get u have to give and take, but not like that
@@treroney4720 dude was supposed to be bullied, Mayweather seemed anouyed of this guy, all over him and extra clintching on extra, damn someone give this dude an autograph
I know it’s different weight divisions, but I’d love to see lomachenko and mayweather spar. I’d just like to see how loma deals w mayweather’s defense and counters, and how mayweather reads loma and picks up on his habits
i remember when i first starting training mauy thai and we had our first sparring session, i did 2 3 minute rounds and i felt like id just done a marathon lol these guys just dont seem to feel any fatigue
Floyd's fitness is superb. A six minute round with 10 seconds rest inbetween. Who else does that? I've seriously not heard of any other great Champions that do.
One thing about Floyd is that he's always present within every moment. He's always watching and paying attention each and every detail. See that Andre Berto said about their fight. Floyd seldom wastes any movement or detail.
