Freddie seemed like such a class act I feel like I knew him, but sadly, I only knew him from the music, of course, and all the beautiful, and not so beautiful things that you guys post online (THANK YOU) , and all of the books people have written, and I STILL CAN'T GET ENOUGH!!! What's sad is if Fred had been diagnosed just a few years later, he would have benefited from the advanced HIV research that keeps the disease from advancing to a full-on AIDS attack, & it would have added 20 years to his life. (Fred's partner Jim Hutton lived at least another 15 years due to the advanced research). I lost more than 1 family member to the disease (we lost many here in NYC) with just missing that window of the HIV meds that can keep the disease undectable & not advancing to AIDS. Such a shame: because it's people like FM that contributed quiet donations to AIDS research that helped to fund research for these simply miraculous medications that he knew would affect future victims. We must remember, that people from all walks of life & contracting it in different ways, were affected by & benefited from these drug trials that are now medical staples. Thank you FM for thinking of the future even beyond your own lifespan.
It's a horrible disease 😞 one of my friends has it he was infected in the 90s . He is considered clean. The drugs he takes keeps it under control. Not detected in his blood anymore 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤ If only Freddie could have held on a little more. ❤

@Motown-1966 yes I know but he didn't reveal it until Freddie had gone, so he kept his promise not to do so whilst ha was still alive and there would not many journalists who would have. It was common knowledge after he died anyway. Freddie told his PA that if anyone should ask about him after he was gone he was to tell the truth, warts and all.
@@jodawson5268 If you really think Freddie told Feebie that prior to his demise, then I've a NYC bridge to sell ya! Feebie tends to change his importance to Freddie over time. The more time goes by, the more closer he comes to Freddie all the way to being his BFF! Feebie started out being Freddie's PA, true enough, but he'd ended up being one of the Garden Lodge's staff members. Mary functioned as Freddie's Secretary mid '80s onward. Feebie was Freddie's PA (Personal Assistant) that was basically his gofer & servant for his lunch/dinner parties. So take what Feebie say with a grain of salt. He's written, what, 4 books [and counting] off the back of his former employer 'cos he's no friend to do this. Freddie was kind enough to leave him with his flat mortgage paid for and cash in his Will. Feebie has made an entire career selling stories about Freddie in the name of Queen/Freddie Mercury Fans. I'm sorry but he's just too much!
@MalEvansUSA No they weren't, David is still around by the way. I don't know where you get your info from but it is not true. David liked Freddie immensely but that's as far as it went.He kept silent about Freddies illness, even though he knew the truth about it because Freddie told him in confidence.He did not betray him.
