In 2016 a young male was relocated just 20 km on the edge of his homerange, but it belonged to a resident male. Within a day of being in the area, a large male caught his scent and stalked the four year old. His pursuit was relentless, criss crossing the road several times. Eventually with an assist from me, the young male was able to gain distance and the larger bear lost interest, with the young guy returning from where he was moved from. Within a month he ventured off and into BC.
