I made this as a birthday present for myself back in August. it is SHAMELESSLY silly and exaggerated and musical and you should cringe with me. be nice in my comments, kids.
i made this solely for gus. because i wanted to animate gus doing silly things. i win

week 2 of me posting an animatic a week heehee. whats up everybody. this idea hit me when I actually saw a tiktok like "omg what singing voices TOH characters would have" and I heard this song for Willow and the wrinkles in my brain physically shifted. dont think it's necessarily IC but there are elements that ARE !! i am a huntlow enjoyer they've been stuck in my brain since May . HELP me

Time Taken: ~1.5 months (I forgot to work on it for 4 weeks lol)

I said this on Twitter and I’ll say it here: the detail of “Willow and Hunter” being made from abominations and illusions respectively at the beginning of the chorus, and then a plant Hunter appearing, showing it’s Willow’s creation, and that she’s subconsciously aware she does like Hunter! Love it (+ Gus Choir is always a win)

This is so cute😭 I don’t think Willow would have any reason to be worried tho. I could totally see it playing out as Willow dropping hints and Hunter blushing but doubting himself cause he’s got no self-esteem until finally Willow is sick of being patient and just makes the first move straight up and asks him out and Hunter has no idea why his heart feels like it’s exploding because he’s never been exposed to love before.

I'm absolutely IN LOVE!! We've seen so many animatics of them that portray the pining mostly from Hunter's side, but IT IS JUST AS AMAZING TO SEE IT FROM WILLOW'S SIDE AS WELL!!! AND USING MY FAVORITE WAITRESS SONG NO LESS!!! AGH ✨ perfection ✨ ALSO IMAGINING WILLOW WITH A 'COUNTRY BOI I LOVE YOUUUU' ACCENT IS SO ADORABLE! And that doesn't even cover the animatic itself with such a cute concept and AMAZING direction!! So many amazing heartfelt moments like the flashbacks of Willow getting bullied paired with the "You cannot be too careful when it comes to sharing your life" line.. As well as the "Some sort of psychopath who escaped from an institution" line being taken literal with Hunter's golden guard days ... ugh the feels.. Overall, great job!!

The fact that it is pretty much confirmed we WOULD have gotten a huntlow episode, where we finally see willow break down like she did in For The Future, except it wouldn't be rushed to hell and back like it was in that episode, and Hunter would've probably been the one to help her control her emotions... I'm a latecomer to TOH, & only got curious because it looked very anime influenced (also older than the intended audience, but cartoons aren't JUST for kiddos...😁). One of the few "Message" projects Disney did right. I just wish they'd offered it on physical media. I'm still keeping my discs & books & would LOVE to have this series on my shelf!....😎

Very very cool ideas. I am most amazed by the effort put into the animations. (even lip-syncing was in there at many parts). Great great job! I especially like the ending idea. The palismen bringing them both together, Amity pushing Guz away, him trying to still say something but getting dragged away. Amazing! Completely in character and great storytelling. Keep up the good work!
