Joey I'm English and it's like we're in the same country because I feel what you're saying, I know 100% everything you said. The amount of times I'd get sick or get locked up and get sick is just a horrible experience. I was on it for 15-16 years. I'm 40 now and lost a, lot of years. Relapsed after 2 years in prison I got clean then after a few weeks after release I got back on it after promising myself I'd never touch it again. Horrible stuff. Now I'm on Methadone maintenance and a script of benzos have been for many years and will probably be on it the rest of my life. Yep big mistake Devils dandruff.

As far as “these people did it as if there was no tomorrow,” I used to think people were incapable of seeing more than 5 minutes in front of themselves. While I’m sure there are plenty of idiots out there, I’ve come to realize that…for a lot of people, they don’t “want” to think about the future. Their lives are so miserable, and they lack so much hope that they’d prefer to get high and not think about the future, because all they can see is more pain. It doesn’t make it right. Just saying, I think for a lot of people, the traumas of their life are too painful to bare. This is definitely how I was thinking at 15-17. I guess I was just lucky. God gave me another chance.

Halal Guys did a beef and rice combo for six bucks but at the time, in my second winter on the street in new York City in January you could get some really good heroin for like ten bucks. By July I was addicted. I was doing dollar jokes in a race against being dope sick. 🤣🤣🤣

Let me tell you my story. I was in the entertainment business for more than 45 years and then was diagnosed with scoliosis and that was the end of my career. So after being addicted to pain meds forever I decided to leave everything behind and move to Pueblo Colorado. I just got out of the hospital and jumped a plane and slept on my boyfriend sister couch for 3 months. That didn't work out so I moved in with a man who abused me every day for 15 months. I hated it and I didn't know anyone here and had no family or friends and no phone. Well I finally got a place of my own. Here in Pueblo Colorado. I'm originally from NJ and NYC just like you. I did what I had to do and got myself together one more time. I lived in ft Lauderdale and Las Vegas and travelled the world with my band sugar britches. Now I'm 70 years old and I'm grateful for everything I have. If I can do it then so can you mister. You look healthy and are still young. Stop using excuses and get your shit together because nobody else cares about you but yourself. So blah blah blah Gypsy Joe as you call yourself. Just do it
I wish there was still heroin around..its all fentanyl now and withdrawl comes on within 4 to 6 hours. Heroin would be more like 12 hours. Its brutal now.

At first I went from dope to subs and then never thought I could ever get off the subs but found out about Kratom and thank God i found it cause ive kicked subs and no longer dependent on anything including the Kratom!! I have massive issues with my back and have had few surgeries done so unfortunately I'm in a lot of pain constantly so when the pain gets out of hand i will take some Kratom until the pain eases off then im able to not take anything! hey joey. i work with this older guy (painting) and im his helper, making pennies a day. He's talking to me about LITERALLY everything you talk to us about. (being more positive, your thoughts make your reality, haveing morals, its part of gods plan, etc) However he is at the tail end of his career at 62 (maybe like 5 more years painting) and im not even 30 yet. I know it will get better, eventually, but how can you not become bitter, jaded, or give up when it really doesn't seem like you can get ahead? He loves life, however he has a massive financial cushion. I'm working myself to the bone and i can't seem to NOT think about money
It would depend upon your location, the legitimacy of this suggestion, but there are contractors out there who do pay fair wages to their helpers. I started in ceramic flooring, & not long after, I was offered extremely good $ as a marble helper. Went on to security alarm installation, & from there I got my LPG license, & when that ended I went to work as a gopher for a construction company, & when I had a cancer diagnosis, cleaned houses (which they offered big bucks for me to take over, but it didn’t matter the amount - that’s not what I wanted to do 5 days a week). I’d advise to get in the door of a trade that interests you, so that you’ll care enough to learn what it takes to be able to go off on your own (if you have to)… whether it’s roofing, plumbing, electrical, flooring, drywall, HVAC, or pool cleaning. There’s business owners in all these fields who have RU-vid channels. Later I’ll attempt to leave a list of the ones that I’m aware of. One thing I learned, after 40 years, truly happy, successful people are always eager to share their knowledge. Anyone secretive, is phony as 💩 & just putting on a front.

Once you quit something it's so good simply not to care about it anymore.7 months so far off from cigarettes and it's great. Actually regret smoking in the first place. And the funny thing is, i was living in a fifth floor so i was too lazy to go down to smoke. Very fit, but, found it just stupid to go down, back and forth for a smoke. Next thing you know, i don't think about it anymore. Congratz on being clean. Pullups and pushups ftv. And after that a good tasty milkshake to get em proteins. lol that part of someone being desperate and giving head
I hate my life so bad. 12-01-2023 I ruined my life forever. I was at a shooting range drunk without hearing protection and destroyed my hearing. I have non stop tinnitus and hearing loss that’s permanent. I’m 24. How can I get better I just want to die. I lost all my friends too and I’m extremely depressed. If I don’t heal back to 100% then I just want to die
Update | I’m not 100% but I definitely don’t feel suicidal anymore and have habituated to my hearing issues. Life is beautiful again!!! Praise to the Lord ✝️🛐

My dad was addicted for over 20 years all started was because his boss was throwing double shifts on him and he wanted to support his family he has been stober for a very long time he almost died because he gained weight so fast his heart almost couldn’t take it I have a very addictive personally
And it runs threw my viens my whole family are addicts hope stops with my children the young ones are only 5 and 8 and already see the compulsive addiction signs already loving your content much love and respect 🙏

Kicking this fent is way harder then kicking heroin. It stays in your system longer and suboxone really isn’t that effective as it once was for withdrawl.

I havent did dope since 7/30/22 or 7/31/22. It was the day Roger Waters came to town. That was a great day. I was pretty much sobered up off of it by then. I took some shrooms, and it was freaking awesome 😂. But, that was the last day. So glad it was, and I don't ever want to go back. Im still on methadone. Im going to taper off hopefully pretty soon. Im going to try and get on some mood stabilizers. I only take the methadone still to try and balance the chemical imbalances in my brain. All things considered, I'm doing quite well.

I dint have a penny to my name, and in and out of jail and rehabs ect... i finally said enough is enough, and today i have a great paying job, and a Bank acct with 6 figures, and a brand new car and my License back after 15yrs. Only YOU can change things.
