Guys, with time our likes and dis-likes tend to change, I wanted share in this video something that may be quite controversial to those who may be on the younger end of Life's scale. Watch to the end to see what that "thing" is. #Bushtec #nationalpark #motocamping #twoups #motorcycletouring

Hi Roger, Brad Stone here. I really like your videos and your honest narrative. There are a lot of really well made bikes now. I ride with guys with Harleys, BMW's, Hondas, etc. I'm with you, we mello out over the years and ride for enjoyment and not disrespectful to others. I look forward to you coming down to Salt Lake when you can and take a look at my Time Out trailer. If not real soon, then in the spring. I might try to get one more ride in, in the next two weeks. Probably ride with my son in law and a few of his friends down to Death Valley, or some place a littel warmer. Cheers!

Brad, sounds great. I see rain in the forecast tomorrow. We really want to see your T. O. Really looking forward to it. Perhaps next weekend. Thanks for watching as I have had a little burst of energy to publish more often. I have been following your travel adventures on your website. I can see you living the dream with your family! Family first!

Hello Clem, In 2011 II took a solo cross country ride from Saratoga NY to California and back. Some of my stops included the AMA motorcycle vintage days in Ohio and Sturgis. While in Sturgis I stopped to look over cargo and camper trailers at one of the venders there. Well, within a couple of hours I rode away towing a brand new Kompact Kamp Mini Mate camper. How’s that for an impulse buy? Well,I’ve got to say that I loved towing and camping with that trailer. It was the perfect trailer for me, it had about 15 cu ft of easy to reach storage, was the perfect camper for my 1 man show and it towed effortlessly. By the time I returned home, I had towed that camper about 6000 mi. So, as far as you purchasing a Bushtec trailer, I vote yes. It is so much better and easier to tow a cargo trailer than to pack all that equipment on your motorcycle. Please keep your channel going, you’re doing a great job. I can’t wait to see what’s next!

Tom, I also have been studying the Mini Mate for the past year; watching a few videos from “old guy on a bike” and a number of others. I have also been watching a number of time out camper videos and struggling which way to go. Many + & -. I like the minimate for the best solo option. I am not committed on which route I want to go yet for me and Roxy but thought i might go with a Bushtec, a larger tent and a few more conveniences and may go with a T.O. I know the market is good to sell a used Bushtec if I choose to shift gears to a small camper. A number of good FB groups I have joined like Bushtec, Motorcycle Pop-up Tent Campers, Time Out Campers and a couple of sell groups.

Like you where camping on our trips. Our camping equipment is similar to yours . Space is an issue when 2Up . I’m looking into a trailer myself. Thanks for sharing😉👍

I'm happy you made this video, Clem. I think the longer you ride the more you realize that every motorcycle is cool, exciting and fun in various ways. All you have to do is hang out with a group of bikers at a rally (like Sturgis) and eventually you'll realize everyone has different tastes and ways they choose to ride; and it really doesn't matter what kind, brand or style of bike you ride. Too often people try and oust anyone who's not exactly like them and I think that's sad. Ultimately we all love to ride and we all ride in very personally unique ways. I think your future trailer will be awesome! Just think how much gear you'll be able fit in that.

Appreciate it Scott, I just have to find a place to put the trailer in my garage. Well, I can always move the car outside where it belongs...

@@clemgriffis3446 Maybe you can install a hoist system with pulleys and ropes (cables) and bring it up to your ceiling. I store my family's bicycles that way and it works great.

Clem, you said you accept the associated risks inherently found in riding.....you have said our tastes mature and change. your growing as a rider is still evolving.....with your trailer idea. well there are risks.....there is expense.....you will lose tank range.....you will lose maneuverability.....you will need to plan your approaches differently..... accept the cons and continue to evolve. if you like it.....good. if you don't, stay in a nice B&B . continue to evolve.....be happy.....be blessed! thanks for the video!

Matt, Yes I agree. Although I do not own a trailer yet, I have studied as much information I can track down about the challenges you mentioned; fuel efficiency, early braking, swinging around gas islands, lane use, and several others. Reading about it and actually “living it” are two different things that I have to face if I go that route. As I enter retirement I can see not one exclusive method of touring but several and plan to embrace all of those that I feel safe, not a burden and enjoyable for me an Roxy. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts, much appreciated.

I think you have picked out great products. My thoughts are at my age I think I have earned the right to decide what I want or need. The intro was spot on with my thinking process at those ages. I now have a GG. It fits our lifestyle. Had a sportster. Had a lowrider. Sometimes I think I have hit the end of the line up. What's next? Ha!

Steve, thanks my friend. I smile when I read your comment. I agree, we earn the right to choose as we please since we are beyond trying to impress anyone except maybe our sweetheart! What’s next … More comfort, more functionality, more fun! Hope to see you as a subscriber and share my videos with your friends and riding buddies. I want to build the channel as I try to move into retirement… I mean full time riding and wrenching.
