Agreed, plus I absolutely love Lute's character so I'm glad she can stick around! And man, the way her VA delivered that threat before her fight with Vaggie was so chilling!

@@MsAliciaRe I think that Lilith is the one who allowed the extermination to happen and that's why Adam let her go to heaven. Lucifer is an equalist and the two of them took turns ruling hell., after he fell into depression I think he just didn't care.

I mean, in the background you can see magazines and a statue of Lucifer somewhere and he didn't seem to be in bad shape. If he were as bad a king as he seems, I don't think that would be the case. Statue would be intact, nor would it appear in magazines. (after all it is the sin of pride) The duckling is just depressed

Well, if the deal was the reason for him to show at the last moment, then one can say that Lute was the one that caused Adam's death, since she killed Dazzle, one of Charlie's goat bodyguards, as he was a Hellborn.

I've always thought he meant he's restricted, meaning he can be more powerful which is why he mentioned taking control of his own fate with adam

I miss 20 episode seasons. But that said Em feels like a set up for a Heaven plotline with Pentious and Sera in S2.

@ZukoHalliwell Yes. It's mentioned in episode 2 as well. Velvet tells Vox that Valentino ripped apart her best model and she doesn't have time to wait for her to get put back together

Alastor is not a psychopath. I think this is pretty definitively disproven in the scene earlier in this episode where he is talking with Niffty. Maybe he's a sociopath, but he isn't immune to emotion. Another example of this is when he snapped on Husk in episode 5. Also --- here's my take on his bit at 9:15: "'Great Alastor, altruist, died for his friends' sorry to disappoint, that is *not* how this ends." The first bit here is a quote, he is thinking of what people would have said about him if he had died in that fight thus the second half of the line. He is clarifying that he has absolutely no intention to sacrifice himself for his friends. "The constraints of my deal surely have a backdoor. Once I figure out how to unclip my wings... guess who will be pulling all the strings!" This *could* mean that his deal is restricting him. It's possible, but either way he is (also?) clearly talking about his freedom. Whether the deal itself binds him to Charlie in some way or he simply requires her favor to break his deal.

Lets be honest.... out of the character we had seen prior, Alastor is wildly powerful compared to them. Adam is clearly more powerful than Alastor, and obviously Lucifer is (he did not try at all to beat Adam) HOWEVER -- Alastor single handedly halted all exorcists in their tracks. They literally could not beat him and he was slaughtering numerous exorcists until Adam stepped in. *Adam was REQUIRED to stop Alastor.* That is extremely impressive for a regular mortal.

@LeiRaion I know he's powerful, I even agree he's much more powerful than people think but on the scale of power the other characters that are supposed to be more powerful aren't shown to be. Even lucifer at the end of ep8 didn't seem as powerful as alastor is shown. It throws people off tbh

@bestboyholland3217 I think Lucifer came across well. He is joking and screwing around the entire fight. I think it came across that Adam posed no threat to him

It may not look like it, but Adam was actually very powerful. Like Alastor said, Adam had a lot of flaws in his fighting style, seen how he struggled a little fighting with Alastor, but he compensated that with his own power. But when it was againt Lucifer, who a lot more powerful than him, Adam couldn't land one single blow... and that when Lucifer wasn't even fighting seriously.

Dying has nothing to do with it, everyone killed by the angelic weapons cease to exist (the exterminated sinners, angels and Adam) but dying by any other means in Hell (and presumably Heaven, but I doubt murder happens there to know) just makes you respawn. Pentious was obliterated by Adams beam, which is probably no different then dying from some other demons magic like Alastors, so he just respawned. But because he was redeemed he respawned in Heaven instead of Hell, which is probably why he didn't show up at the gates like normal dead humans do.

@@tatsudragneel4761 You could be correct, but you aren't. It's safe to assume Adam's powers have the same influence as angelic weapons. All people in the hotel were immediately sad and in despair after what happened to Sir Pentious, also, right when rebuilding the hotel, they made a shrine for him, as to play condolences. How would they be certain of his death when Adam's powers didn't have the ability to make his soul disappear? They would just have waited for him to come back. To be fair, the writing in the last two episodes were really bad lore-wise... A lot of things didn't make sense. Exorcists were claimed to be invincible unless hit by an angelic weapon, then, minutes later, Lute gets obliterated by the hotel. Was the hotel itself made by angelic steel (the super rare ore)? Highly unlikely.

@@Bruno.GCF05 No, lute wasn't damaged by the hotel, her limb was just trapped under a ton of rubble. If that rubble moved she'd been completely fine. However, she needed to act immediately so she opted to go the faster route and just rip her arm off.

@@LeiRaion Yeah, the cut on her face with clear blood leaking from it right after the building collapsed on top of her is makeup. She fucking stopped time, made it seem like her face was cut, and then unpaused reality.

Assuming she's living there of her own volition; part of the deal could've been to leave hell - affecting her appearance as a result; Pentious showed that occurs - and whatever she wants was worth it (or perhaps hopes it is) in the long run. For all we know thus far, which isn't much, she could be in a gilded cage as a prisoner - I mean, Lute was giving her orders rather than the other way around

Eh, seems a bit early to assume that tbh Yes, it's possible she's done this for some bad aim and that she'll be a villain, etc. But the fact is we just don't know the why/how/whats, or even her motivation; Lilith is still an enigma at this point. It just feels like we need more everything first, including why Lute is giving her orders, and if she's there willingly or is held as a prisoner (among other things)
