This is legit! My cousins from Sydney rocked over to Auckland. We took them to a Bakery and my other cousin said: This bakery is bad. My aussie cousin replied with: if it's bad, why are we going there? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Every single one of these crosses over perfectly except "but" heard it used consistantly for the first time this year by aussie work mates and I was just like Jimi. I literally was like "but what?" for so long. every other bit of Aussie slang Kiwis would understand however the use of the word 'but' at the end of a sentence as if it's a full stop is 100% aussie af.
I have alot of Australia friends and this is funny coz I understand both NZ and Aussie slang, and it's funny coz these reactions are my friends reactions both way, 😂😂😂😂😂 and I just laugh between both of them
Interior Crocodile Alligator Reallly? "I think it was a good session, I was really hammered but(though)." It makes sense, and I think you mean the end of the sentence not the word...
Yep, I did mean the end of the sentence! Haha. Hmm, I disagree - 'though' doesn't actually make sense at the end of a sentence, so it's the same as 'but' in this regard. "I think it was a good session, though I was really hammered" makes sense & is much better english.
bro im kiwi as and i legit was reacting how jimi was because i've grown up so much around the bros who are hori to thes days and forgot how to speak somewhat normal english😂😂 but its alguds doe i mean you talk to me in a hori way i'll understand you easy as but if you talk to me with a total different slang i'll be looking at you like you crazy bruh😂😂😂😂💯
Can anyone tell me any other Kiwi and Aussie slang words like dairy/deli, jandals/thongs, chilly bin/esky, togs/cozzie etc? (I'm writing my graduation thesis on this topic so if anyone could help me I'd be very grateful :))
