Penfolds does it again ... Their entry level wines are great value for money.

As an Australian I have to say I really enjoyed watching this! Peter, you're a gem and you have a great sense of humour :) Jae Hyoung, I love hearing what you have to say and all your videos are informative and entertaining. Really great channel and a pleasure to watch your videos. Will definitely be seeking out some of the wines from around the world you guys suggest on this channel.

D’Arenberg Dead Arm is my favourite wine of all time. I had a 2006 bottle recently which had been well cellared and it was the most memorable wine experience of my life. They’re an iconic Australian brand always overshadowed by the bigger producers and always outperforming them.

I really enjoy these two cats talking about wine. Jae is so nice that one may not believe it; however, he is truly as he appears. Both are true wine lovers but totally unpretentious. Thank you.

Funny story..a friend of mine went to a blind tasting a while ago and a recent vintage Koonunga hill shiraz was preferred to a 20 year old Grange by all that attended.

I tried that penfolds wine before and really enjoyed it! It's nice to know which wines I've tasted and like that are high quality or not. Definitely helps me learn more about the wine! 🍷

feel bad sometimes for Australian wine makers, they get there vineyards looking nice then they have a really bad fire season and it either destroys them or ash damages the fruit and they have to start over.

Australian riesling tends to be fantastic and fantastic value.The Great Southern area of Western Australia produces some really exceptional ones.Perfect with seafood.

Pewsey Vale Riesling has been a value purchase for over a decade now, great wine for the $$$

Guys, living in New Zealand, I could not agree more with all the points, and when you were pulling out the bottle of the red you both liked and Peter said there is Shiraz, a thought flashed across my mind "it is Koonunga Hill" (under 15 nzd). I am not good at wines but Australians have also Shiraz called McGuigan. It costs 7 New Zealand dollars (cheapest in NZ) and I believe it might be semi-dry, but very close to Koonunga hill, would be interesting to see what you guys think. Totally agree on NZ red (equals crap). Thanks a lot for this episode!

다렌버그 래핑 맥파이를 장터에서 사서 마셨는데 분명 맛있고 잘 만든 것 같은데 모가 난 느낌이 강해서 결국 다 마시지 못했어요. 그 다음날 마셨는데도 모가 난 느낌이 더 강해져서 결국 버렸어요. 승리앞에서 무릎을 꿇었다는 표현이 이해가 갑니다.

I am so with you on the Craggy Range Te Kahu! I gave it a much lower score than everyone else, and was worried I was missing something. But you both have made me much more confident in my opinions. This is what I said: "This was hugely disappointing. On opening this was a $10 bottle of wine. Completely flat and lacking definition. With time it opened a little to reveal some vanilla and dark fruit, but really nothing of distinction and nothing worth anything like the asking price. For me this is a wine riding on reputation rather than quality."

다른 분들은 어떨지 모르겠는데 저는 와인킹님 영상이나 다른 와인 전문가 분들 영상보고 참 벽을 느낀게...향기 종류가 한국에서 일상적인 것이 아닌 블랙커런트라던가 여러가지 향으로 품종을 짐작하는 것이었습니다.(아로마 휠 자체가 우리 생활에서 쉽게 접하는 것이 아니니..) 어느 사람들에게는 생활속 상식인데 아시아에선 상당한 지식이고 그래서 마스터 오브 와인에 아시안 분들이 거의 없는가 싶은 생각도 들더군요. 고로 저는 그냥 와린이로서 추천받은 와인을 맛보고 제가 마시기 좋은 것을 마시는 생활을 하기로 마음 먹었습니다. ㅎㅎㅎ 그러나! 부디 와인킹님이 한국 최초의 Master of wine이 되시길 기원합니다!

Is pewsey vale riesling dry different from riesling? i searched for dry riesling, but can find only riesling not dry riesling in Korea.

Great to see some tasting from NZ other than Sauvignon! Though surely dedicate a tasting to some of the variety in high quality NZ pinot noir? Good examples from Marlborough are still in few and far between... Martinborough is where it is at!

다렌버그 맥파이 쉬라즈 비오니에 2013빈티지는 맛있게 마셨는데 2015빈티지가 조금 문제가 있었나봐요..ㅠㅠ 펜폴즈는 역시.. 호주의 국보급 대형 와이너리인 만큼 저가형도 맛있게 만드네요^^ 뉴질랜드 피노누아의 최고 산지로 센트럴 오타고를 말씀하시는거에 공감되요! 개인적으로 마틴버로도 좋지만 센트럴 오타고는 가격 대비 고품질의 피노누아를 만들기에 적합한 떼루아인거 같아요!

I agree, the Penfolds wine at that price is really good. Picked up a bottle of d'arenberg Wild Pixie Shiraz for £10 & thought that was exceptional value! As always, hilarious comments from Peter & great laughs from Jay! Cheers guys

I finally found the Penfolds Koonunga Hill, and well... I respect Peter. 1000%. But I guess I do not have refined taste in wine. Cause this wine is too bitter for my taste. It's fruity on the nose, but too bitter on the palate for me. It is like those people who enjoy an endive salad. And you're like "what? How can you taste ANYTHING beyond the bitterness??" I guess I will never understand wine. :(

펜폴즈에서 나오는 엔트리급은 가성비가 참 좋은데, 피터 선생님께서 이렇게 칭찬하셨으니 이제 재고 찾기가 힘들겠네요.

쿠능가힐 호주에서 12000원 정도 하는데 미국이 호주보다 더 싸네요ㅋㅋ 솔직히 예전에 마셨을 때는 맛있다는 생각을 못했는데 다시 사서 마셔 봐야겠네요!

Maybe you can consider doing a region to region in a few different episodes? Barossa and mclaren vale are too common, other regions like hunter valley and WA are far more interesting.

my recommendation, try Bowen Estate for Australia Cabernet. just 30ausd a bottle.Shariz u can buy John Duval entity.
