He may be using some of the worst strats, but they still wreck legendary spammers. Just goes to show how bad legendary spamming is

I love when people get confused about strats that are decently well known among good players. I like to run things like Perish Song Chimecho and Sleep Powder Vivillion and its really fun using strats that are unorthodox. Best part is teaching someone something new! Its nice seeing people switch from using legendaries to neat stuff like Porygon2.

I notice this in a lot of games. You call someone out for being toxic, or give them the same energy, and suddenly you're the toxic one. I don't have much experience with pokemon but I've experienced it in genshin. If someone has the AUDACITY to use anyone other than Raiden, Nahida, Ayaka, or Ganyu, oh my lord the rage. "Don't use Lisa she's bad" "don't use Kaeya he's bad" "don't use Itto he's bad" Like don't speak in chat, you're bad.

Exactly. I don't even play showdown but it's still obvious that they are the ones ruining it. Why would anyone play a competitive game with no meta variety. I *do* play magic the gathering, and that's half the fun of playing the game. Meta gaming, building your deck to compete with others and building it to withstand strategies that it's normally weak to. Why the hell would I play a trading card game where everyone uses the same deck? Why would I pokemon if everyone de facto has to use 6 arceus's or else?

The ONE time I accepted that kind of language was when in the same game, I got off three protects in a row, my friends pokemon hit itself in confusion 4 times in a row AND another one of their pokemon stayed asleep for like four turns also. We were both like "That win doesn't count because what the fuck was that RNG?" so we did a rematch in gen 4 random battles because that was supposedly their home turf and that rematch was the first time I have seen freeze happen after ice-beam and also that freeze lasted until my Kingdra had maxed out attack and speed from dragon dance. And after an almost clean sweep I lost because I couldn't hit their Shedinja.

Imagine playing a turnbased rpg with zero balancing that has over 15 years of monsters oooooooooooof

@@LoungeLizard_33 Probably because most words that are written similarly to lose (e.g. nose, hose, rose etc.) are pronounced completely differently, so it's just not very intuitive to spell it like that... On the other hand words that actually rhyme with lose (e.g. loose, moose, smooth, ooze) all are spelled with double o... Edit: Since several ppl have pointed it out now, when I wrote "rhyme", I didn't mean a perfect rhyme, but rather an assonance or an oblique rhyme. The important part is that the vowels sound similar, not whether the s is voiced or unvoiced. (To be fair though, I'm not a native speaker, and I definitely don't properly differentiate between lose and loose in my pronunciation, which is part of the reason I made this "mistake" and something I'll work on more.)

idk bout others but i wouldn’t call it 0 strat. i saw what nat dex ag was, and the expectation was that people would have full legendary teams, and I prepped my team to take on full legendary teams that ended up needing 4 legendaries. And to me that sounded like fun so I just did it. Not really fair to call people stupid just for wanting to play the game a bit different. And if you wanna talk about toxicity, my friend, you have not seen the internet.

That Ice Beam coming off of Darkrai's absolutely monstrous Special Attack stat too.

Darkrai had 0.5x special attack. Light screen was active. Its 90bp with no stab. Would be suprising if it dealt more.

It at least means they are going to use some sort of wild combo and they are very confident that they can pull it off. If you somehow find a counter to their combo, things can swing back in your favor since a 2 man team doesn't have a lot of room for a plan B. But yeah, it's a reason to be on your guard.

Yeah, clear smog, heart swap, or psych up would all be good counters. But all these legend spammers rarely have moves like that equipped so *shrug*

Literally all the first guy had to do was save Arceus E-Speed for when reflect+dynamax wore off and even that braindead team could've won.

I always used to love cheesing my opponent with Tail Glow/Heart Swap Manaphy and Mega Ray with Twister in Doubles. Another of my personal favourites from back in USUM is Spinda Swap/XD Lugia, lol. God only knows what sort of convoluted strats I could come up with now if Triples ever returned.

Yeah, Temp6t's mentioned in several videos in the past that he's had the one or two matches that vid showed be the ones that didn't have "the smart play" show up; aka him having to do a lot of matches just to find the interesting "4 attacks all legendary no plan" style opponents that we all enjoy watch getting beat.
