Thank you so much for this message jimmy. It's awesome what oour heavenly father is doing in your life, and others. When you told the story about your dad it brought tears to my eyes. Made me think of how CLOSE me and my daddy was before he moved so far away with his girlfriend. Please keep him in your prayers and my mother. She really going through a tough time now in her life. Also keep my children in y'alls prayers as well, and my whole family. We all need them very much. Thank you again and may the good Lord keep blessing you and your wife and family.

How do I get a person who had turned from God to read this sermon/lesson?

Everything that Jimmy says is true but one thing. Adam and Eve were not adults. They were children in adult bodies. They were innocent children who needed to grow up. They had been given so much and as children of a generous, loving Father, it was time for them to show love, appreciation, gratitude, and obedience to Him. Up till the time of their choice to eat the fruit, the relationship was one-sided. How many times had they walked back and forth by the tree of life and never stretched out their hand to take and eat of a tree that God said they could freely eat from? Would they be children forever? I think God had to force the issue because they had gotten to a point in their life and in their relationship with God that they needed to let go of God's hand and take some steps and risk falling on their butts, to develop character and make a choice. God only had a boundary around one tree, only one commandment. It just goes to show how tempting the word "no" is to a child. It focuses the attention like nothing else. You can eat from all of these trees but this one you shall not eat from. Wow, what is so special about that one? Children have no understanding of pain. They have to experience pain as a consequence so they can avoid it the next time. People learn by making mistakes and God knew that people would make them in the process of exploring their world. That is where children need grace.
