The upbeats (and downbeat if they're at the end of someone's solo) are cut out to simplify the score for the video. They are included on the sheet music downloads. This was transcribed in three different notation software (GuitarPro for guitar + bass, Sibelius for drums and MuseScore for sax + piano) due to the preferences of the transcribers so there could be a couple of formatting stuff that might've been screwed up when exporting that I didn't notice!
