I can help you with some small info on this topic. The 2009 Star Trek on Blu-ray and DVD included a XBLA Demo of Star Trek DAC on the digital copy disc and its only available in the 3-disc digital copy edition blu-ray and the 2-disc digital copy DVD release of the film. I have this copy of Star Trek (2009) that includes the demo which I found in a DVD bin at Five Below when they use to sell DVDs.

It was 2007, I had owned revenge of the sith for 2 years at that point and was going to put the second disc in to watch any special features and then it wouldn’t let navigate on the menu witht the media remote so I then I try my controller and it worked and I realized that there was a demo I never knew existed for Star Wars battlefront 2! It only has like 8 minutes of gameplay and then the demo ends but it was always the fun considering it was the only Star Wars game I had at the time.

I did this as a kid all the time to play Star Wars battlefront with my revenge of my sith DVD. You actually didn’t need the Xbox DVD kit. If you didn’t have it, it would launch straight into the demo

You’re right you actually didn’t need the kit period if you just wanted to play the demo… I did it all the time as a kid with my DVDs of Robots and the Star Wars Trilogy

The star wars revenge of the sith dvd was one of two oddball discs and that actually almost REMOVED my xbox's softmod & somehow screwed it up so much that i was almost unable to resoftmod it. (The other disc was the conker live & reloaded promotional videos disc). I don't advise anybody putting these discs in modded OG Xboxes, i barely managed to sort it out back then

I used to love game demos back in the day of the Xbox 360 erra and there are some backwards compatible Xbox 360 titles that have game demos like sonic CD sonic the hedgehog 4 episode 1 and 2 the rereleases of sonic 1 2 and 3&k standalones forza 2 demo and now Xbox one game demos are boring you can only access one part of the map and that's it boring I can see why Microsoft discontinued the Xbox demos theres no point of it
