These days however, any person who watches Naruto will know going in that there's near a thousand episodes and have them all on demand- why wait around and research what that rasengan was called when I can just watch the next episode?

This fight made me hate flashbacks, i played the PS2 game that ended on this fight and when we got to this part in the anime here in latin america like years later i stayed up for weeks seeing this fight just because of Sasuke and Naruto remembering their whole life like 5 times.

I mean in a span of maybe a month or 2 in total, he learned an S rank jutsu and learned sage mode, but 3 years and he learns a bigger Rasengan. Simple. Because Naruto sucks. What I mean is that he doesn’t have the natural skill to progress in power and Jutsu like everyone else or even prodigies. Let's do a quick comparison. Sakura. She’s is as average as you can get so it’s a good starting ground. She learned, Medical Ninjutsu(That in itself is a whole field of things to learn) , Chakra enhanced strength, Poison Expert, and 100 Healings (Was gathering Chakra for 3 years.) That’s really impressive for someone from a civilian family. Now unto the prodigies/genius. Sasuke. He learned and Kenjutsu. Summoning Jutsu. Mastered his Curse Mark and Sharingan. Learned Genjutsu, learned how to enter Minds and suppress Power. Created new Fire Jutsu. Created 4 new Lightning Jutsu, one being S rank. and Learned Fuinjutsu. Was also Kage level. All in 3 years. Gaara and Neji both progressed fast (Less info on them though.) Neji was already Jonin by time Naruto returned and Gaara had to become Kage level like Sasuke. Naruto Here comes the obvious problems. No new Jutsu, zero progress on 9 Tails Chakra, slightly bigger Rasengan, and overall just plan to lack in all area’s. He was maybe High Chunin level at max. You could list small shit like he bettered his basics but nothing anyone couldn’t have done with normal ass Training. So how come Naruto falls short in his Training while everyone jumps leaps and bounds? Because he’s untalented. Jiraiya said he trained Naruto because he had no natural Talent.

Hence, him making Shadow clones with fucked up Chakra Control in the Chunin exams via Orochimaru messing with his seal. Konohamaru learns Shadow clones at 11 years old as well, showing it’s not that difficult. He was only able to learn Rasegan by using 3 hands and never mastered the Jutsu with 1. Therefore never really truly learned it the right way. 5 years up into the War arc he was still using extra hands to make a Rasengan. And again, Konohamaru shows that making a Rasegan is easy as long as you have 3 hands doing it. When Jiraiya trained him during the Chunin exams, Naruto spent the whole month summoning Tadpoles. In contrast, Sasuke in a month learned the Chidori, trained hard enough to equal Lee in speed and mastered his Taijutsu. He went from getting his ass beat by Weighted Lee to defeating a guy 5 Gates Lee was destroyed by. It’s repeatedly stated that Naruto is talentless and his training progressed slowly during the Chunin Exams. Sasuke, on the other hand, created an S Rank Jutsu in just 3 years (Kirin) while training in other area’s.

That was the moral victory right there, He coulda taken his head off.

Yeah like someone said, there's a lot of filler in this fight. Naruto could have killed Saskue once the cloak came out if that was his goal, and I don't think there's any arguing that. If it was to the death, either the second tail would sprout and Saskue would be dead *quickly*, or Kakashi swoops in. It's often overlooked but Naruto formed the Vermillion Rasengan easily with one hand. I think that shows how big of a powerup the one tail cloak was in that fight... He could have probably spammed them
