Saw an interview where Prince was asked about this story, he said that it all happened just like Charlie told, and when asked if it was true he had made them pancakes after the game. he said "Yeah, I mean... I didnt make them, but yeah, we had pancakes" xD
You can’t make this Up more funnier every time I hear it. Nothing but loving respect for all their crafts and professionalism, and having a great time as friends.
I'll help you put him into his box..... The Greatest Entertainer of all time. Nobody had his complete tool set. Dancer Singer Multi instrumentalists Actor Writer Engineer Producer Sex symbol and evidently a damn good basketball player too.... Nobody had ALL of these. Not even close. Many had one. Some had a few. None had all.
Actually Dave only heard them from Charlie and decided to make it a sketch The story is Charlie's. Thank him. I mean if you think it was Dave. You might as well thank comedy central
I laughed so hard I couldn’t talk afterwards. My voice was gone!! Everything hurt. 😆😆 My sisters didn’t get it. I miss Charlie Murphy’s voice & laughter. ♥️
Every time I was this skit I laugh a hearty laugh. I’ve seen the interview with Prince confirming that it happened. Now to see Eddie sign off on it as well. Classic
Can’t forget about Mickey Free he was on Prince team. He was a very popular artist at the time, and won many awards and is still among us. Where is everywhere he goes people ask him about the basketball story 😂
Prince trolled Dave back by using the pic of Dave dressed as prince with pancakes for an album cover (breakfast can wait) "Thats checkmate right there" -Dave chappelle
Whenever I’m down and feeling blue, I turn to Charlie Murphy’s Hollywood Stories because it ALWAYS makes me smile and laugh. It’s the best medicine. RIP Charlie and thank you Eddie ✌🏼❤
Prince actually was a high school basketball star when he got into music it was straight After High School the boy can hoop like a Street Hooper there's videos
His brother was all state on the same team. He was 6'4". It has been said that Prince was actually a better baller than his brother, but he was just so short.
Miss Charlie Murphy❣ He was the BEST! His story telling was so perfect! His facial expressions...ON TARGET! He was IT❣❣❣ He was so funny without trying to be funny. That's what made him SO GOOD! Sad he's not with us. 💔
😂😂😂 I freaking miss the way Charlie Murphy use to tell his stories. He was such a great story teller and his facial expressions...priceless. RIP Charlie Murphy 🙌🙏
I just saw Eddie in one of those night talk shows, and Eddie use to go to Sammy Davis house on Tuesdays for movie night, and a lot of other celebrities from the past who are no longer among us....this guy has storIES galor....a lot of memories...🙏🏿
You can tell how much Eddie loved Charlie. These are just stories of him and his bro to him but to us its legendary. I wonder how many more they have together
After Charles said the story next thing you know over the years Micki, Prince, & Eddie all confirmed that it actually was true. Plus that short documentary of Prince being a basketball player in Middle/High School shed some insight of the truth. So the fact is that the story is true it makes even more hilarious after all these years.
I’d love to see Eddie do a new stand up full show using the Eddie Murphy does “True Hollywood Stories continued … ” in memory of and in honour of Charlie ❤. Just watching Eddie talk about and confirming that it is indeed all true , you could see true old school Eddie talking about a hilarious day and event (especially to him). You could tell Charlie truly loved telling it. Just remembering Charlie and the actual day it happened at Princes house… this is obviously personal to Eddie… the laughter and the gleam in his eye is back ! from the old Delirious days 😄
Two hilarious men - will always love eddies comedy - so sad his brother Charlie passed. Rip Charlie, no there are millions of us still laughing at your comedy and stories.
In addition to being a musical genius able to play almost every instrument. Prince was a very skilled athlete in all sports including basketball, table tennis, rollerblading...etc.
OMG I could only imagine how much fun they had I really wish Charlie Murphy was still here I didn't know him but seeing him do comedy he was hilarious sleep in peace Charlie Murphy and Price Eddie Murphy and David Chapelle I love love them soooo funny
