Sea spider: I have this like awesome mid range build, big bazookas, two laser attacks, massive range pounces, and this guy keeps dancing in my face. It's not fair
I can safely say I enjoy the game more as a mid to light weight compared to heavy. You can get away with so much as a heavy weight build, which takes the tension out of fights.
Honestly more the opposite for me. Regarding game difficulties as a heavyweight anyway. Lack of mobility means you get hit by near-everything and increased bulk doesn't make much of a difference if you're eating all the hits from bosses anyway, I find myself staggered more often on a heavy which is frustrating. I'd much rather avoid the damage if at all, and most bosses are designed to be dodged, not tanked. ALLMIND Phase 3 comes to mind, and the Enforcer (the latter I play Rules of Nature for).
You're moving so fast. Even the attacks of the moonlight sword seems faster than what I usually do. I need to try lightweight a bit more. I go for the same kind of legs but heavier
What the game defines as close range is anything below 100m which is basically hugging it (the context menu specifically defines close, medium, and long range tracking which is nice). Close range tracking is primarily used for making sure you don't lose hard lock on someone that flies over you. Well rounded or baelum FCSs are usually best for builds like these but since he fought mostly at a distance against a huge target that he eventually closed in on, it doesn't make a huge difference.
zimmermans with songbirds or needles clears literally everything super quickly lol, especially if you mix in pilebunker. that kind of build is practically this games form of an easy mode, both in PVE and PVP
