👋 Background info on myself: I am a prior Marine infantryman currently serving in the Army. I've been through specialized Close Quarter Battle training, security guard training, subterranean warfare course, urban surveillance training, foreign weapons training, helicopter insert/extract master, as well as numerous training with other militaries and their equipment.

Was wondering…cut paste As Finland was Christianized, the old Finnish deities were regarded as demons. This led to the use of "Perkele" as a translation for "Devil" in the Finnish translation of the Bible. Later, in other translations, the word was rendered as paholainen (the evil one).

It's definitely been done with all sorts of shit and even yes stuffed animals This I would think would conceal the color and form of the hand grenade also making it not just sink into the snow, letting it rest on top I've been told stories of other soldiers in urban conflicts using stuffed animals to confused the opposition, conceal, and suppress the sound of the grenade when it hits the floor

Explaining for those who don't understand : Basically, when the Soviets invaded Finland in 1939, they were so confident they would win they even sent a band to play for when they would win. But the soviets were unprepared for the Finnish colds, suffering -45 degrees Fahrenheit (-43 in Celsius) , and their uniforms weren't thick enough. Their weapons even jammed because of the cold, and cars often stalled. But Fins were ready for this. They had camouflaged and thick winter clothing to keep them warm at all times. They also knew the terrain, and their rifles were made out of Arctic birch wood, so their rifles were accurate, and didn't jam so easily. They also had Simo Hayha, on their side, a Finnish sniper who got around 505 - 542 kills in around 102 days of the war.
