I am embarrassed to say that I, too, was scammed on a vehicle issue where two guys hit me up in a Safeway parking lot... saying they could make me dingy paint job look brand new etc. They put vegetable oil all over my car and toothpaste in a couple of rough spots, saying I should buff out in about 2hrs. The guys said it was going to be a ceramic coat, which of course it was not. I paid $200 although they wanted $600... I should have known better but I was trying to help 2 guys who gave me a sob story about having 5 mouths to feed etc. They even gave me a cell#, which was no doubt a burner phone but I did text them saying if I ever saw them in the Safeway parking lot ever again that I would be calling the cops on them. Never again and I am thankful they only got me for $200! People are creeps and if scammers works as hard doing legitimate work, they would probably be very successful in life!
That was an old LA scam…. Or theyd punch hundreds of holes in your car to pull out the dent….which my mother fell for. And they never even tried to bondi the damn thing….thenwhen another crew came up to scam her AGAIN…the hundreds of pounds of bondo they put on was hysterical. When theyd approach me (driving that car) my response was what is there to fix….I make money on this car for movie sets!,,
@@madenabennettOld Bay Area scam lol. From what Ive seen the common denominator is they are usually Gypsies, Romanian people. They tried to get my mom but I was in the car.
Damn. If you can’t trust a stranger to fix your car in the parking lot of a PetSmart pet supply store who takes payment in the form of Bed, Bath, and Beyond gift cards, who CAN you trust?
How can he make her do anything? No one is going to make me buy gift cards. That just sounds insane. It get it I guess. I've done some dumb things. I've never heard of these type of scams.
Haha yeah her “what! What? What?” Was very unconvincing also if you watch a longer version of that clip the guy being interviewed by the cops was sweating so bad almost comical
18:13 Something is shady w/the Mariott. They have someone on the inside robbing ppl cause there was another case on here where a guy set this black couple who got kicked out of their apartment up w/a room on someone else’s points. It seems odd to me every one I’ve seen is from the Marriott. They have someone stealing customer info on the inside and probably switched from cc’s to points cause people won’t notice it as quickly. Long story short, STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THE MARIOTT!
Absolutely…everytime my ex would go on tour withhis band all their cards would be hit…..criminals knowing they had a good month to screw around. I suggested lifelock or whatever its called and bandmates got pissed that their accountant had never suggested it.
we have this in los angeles all the time , but nothing is done here, ! but in san pedro,ca they were doing the same thing about a babies death, until the police get in on it, the arrested all the people involved , hen thru fingerprint 3 of the 4 had warrentsw and the ringer lead escaped from jail and still havent found her. the 3 others were sent to jail for 3 yrs, and one still at large
9:02 .. justice finally caught up to him MONTHS later? Every prepaid visa would have been activated at bed bath and beyond which are kept in the system.. they could have tracked him through the purchases made, identified his vehicle through CCTV, he was clearly a well astabloshied criminal. I could have proven his guilt that day as I know how those cards are activated.. this is insane..
The first one usually was busted the second the cop walked up to her. That’s why she’s nervous the cabbage is playing cool and nonchalant about this entire thing. Which is probably freaking her out even more.😅😅😅😅 These people are just stupid thing and they can get away with this.😯😯😯😯
21:32 Why would you call attention to yourself when you have already been warned for the same funeral months ago. The reason you cannot hold signs up on the road like that is cause it causes accidents. People should be paying attention to the road, not trying to read your sign.
My exhusband got a ticket at the pacific palisades 4th of July parade for an open container….a few years later at same parade he lied to an officer saying hed not had a ticket years previously…he looked up and saw it was the exact same officer. He laughed…did a little dance, put his hands behind his back and apologized. (I wasnt witness to either,,,, but believe the story). Its like come on fer chrstsake…..it isnt that difficult to remember….
Some of the words & phrases you use are just plain odd. It sounds like you used a thesaurus while writing your script to add lots of unneeded/nonsensical words. Great video, but you should polish your scripts before recording the videos.
I don’t agree with that but if you look into a lot of the cases, they clearly don’t do their homework. They only play tiny portions of the videos when there may be an important part completely left off cause I’ve watched the full versions in a lot of the cases and some of their “reporting” (and I use that term very loosely) is completely wrong when they could’ve found the info from a 3 second google search.
@@nicolejohnson9244 exactly... that Brenda woman at Chase bank was being used by a police officer to pull off those scams... If you pause his written scripts you see more information. At 6:28 it says "The then" instead of they then.. it's sort of comical. These cases are way deeper and the videos are all just clipped and narrated by dozens of "creators" It's an easy gimmick and technically a scam in and of itself.. lol
Why not mention officer Augusta in the Brenda case? That's way better content. This is probably some drug addicted woman being used by these men... Also, why get so greedy to try 30k? Keep it under 4k and it's way less suspicious lol.
That second girl sounds sketchy… who just takes someone’s phone and has enough time to send a transfer through cash app…. I think this is a drug deal gone wrong.
No the people who make these videos are just very terrible at editing and research. I did see the entire video and they caught the guy. He saw she had a scratch in her car in a parking lot. He said, I can get that out cheaper and made it seem like they were gonna exchange numbers or whatever and then when she went into Petsmart and came back out, he had bought some cheap ass like dollar store spray paint and painted part of her car. Then he demanded $1,000. He then blocked her in so that she would have to do what he wanted and tried to cashapp himself $ from her phone. He didn’t steal her phone, he just made her open cashapp when she refused to go to the bank and get $. Then when that didn’t work, he made her go into Bed, Bath, and Beyond and buy Visa gift cards. He does this scam all day in parking lots. Who knows how many ppl he has gotten that are too ashamed, too scared, or feel too stupid to call the cops. He just spray painted her car w/no permission cause she had said “yea u can fix my car sometime” just to get away from him. It’s a scam this guy and his son run on a regular basis and then scare ppl into paying them. This is partly on her cause you need to have a backbone and be able to say no to weirdos trying to get cash in parking lots but this is something they have done to numerous people. They had other victims they finally found. It was real.
It actually did happen. The creator of this channel doesn’t post the pertinent parts of videos or investigations but this man and his son had been doing this for quite some time. They find someone w/damage to their car (they preyed mostly on elderly) spray paint it w/some dollar store spray paint and then ask for $1000. They found some other ppl that had reported but didn’t have any identifying info. This woman gave them enough info cause the dummy tried to cashapp himself. Also he didn’t take her phone. He forced her to open cashapp and tried sending himself $ numerous times which also led to his info. He was also on camera walking her into Bed, Bath, and Beyond to get the visa gift cards and then the cashier sensed something was wrong and they showed the cops the videos as well. As far fetched as this scam is, it is something people do. People will come on your property and do unauthorized work like leaves, mowing, shoveling, etc. and do the same thing by threatening that the people will be in trouble for theft of services. They do usually prey on the elderly. That’s how they fucked ip this time.
When the guy “made” her go in the store, she should’ve said something to anybody. The cashier, a customer, something or anyone. If this guy is “forcing” her she was in public and could’ve said something
Nothing more sad and pathetic than to teach children to become criminals instead of honest work for money. Raising criminals in society. Vicious cycle.
26:58 Unfortunately these type of scams are so common in other countries like Mexico, where in every stop there's a different "story" and they are always asking for your money, even if I hadn't watched this video in this channel it would've taken me seconds to know this is a scam.
I would have been screaming in the bed bath and beyond… kidnapper help help… and really make a scene.. if they vandalized my car it would be covered under insurance… and they would have been caught on camera and eventually get caught with kidnapping charges on top of many other
My neibour down stairs is from romanian too we have sometimes language barrier as i dont know his language and his not good of my but can speak of it and i dont speak english in rl so yeah :P kinda mess sometimes
hey! good content. also, im a professional scientist specialising in hearing what people say, so if you have some *inaudible* moments, i can help you, no charge! i just like doing it.
On the text footage in each story, how about just printing the appropriate text and then leave the rest of the screen blank instead of filling it up with blurred out bs that has nothing at all to do with the story being told. Thanks.
