I really like how you mentioned that you can still disarm hags traps after they’re triggered. I’ve been a hag main for 2 years and have never seen a single survivor do that. Maybe more people will know now.

Especially when the Hag is carrying a survivor to a hook, it's the perfect time to trigger/disarm her traps. I've noticed this a lot when playing as her.

An update for newer players watching this video: Pig had a recent change where she has 5 boxes to search with by default, so don't panic when you see 5 boxes in each match

Your advice for Plague is accurate and definitely what should be done when facing her but you missed one extremely crucial detail. Solo queue. If your playing solo and you try to stay sick and not cleanse, this will 100% kill you, IF your teammates all cleanse or worse cleanse often. With solo queue you have to base your cleansing off of your teammates.

Heres a tip for Plauge: If you're already injured when you get infected, if you wait until you're broken to cleanse, it also heals you.

For the vaccine (nemesis) section, I learned that you could just carry around the vaccines for when you need it. I also learned that it drops when the killer has Franklin's, but it won't disappear after any amount of time (I think it might be like this for any item that you can't keep post trial). Also, it's not a good idea to use it in front of the killer if you're healthy and are just using it to take an extra hit, because the killer could have Iridescent Umbrella Badge, which makes you exposed after using the vaccine.

*Trapper:* (Disarming Bear Trap) - Always disarm, except: - Trapper is nearby - Trap is obvious - Trapper has "Bloody Coil" addon *Hag:* (Disabling Phantasm Trap) - With flashlight: always disarm - Without flashlight: trigger if you want her attention or she's already distracted *Nightmare:* (Waking Up) - Only wake up, if Alarm Clock or Survivor happens to be nearby. Don't go across the map to Alarm Clock/Survivor just to wake up *Pig:* (Disarming Reversed Bear Trap) - Nearly always a good idea, especially if she has add-ons that make her bear traps more lethal (hints: more boxes, slower searches, faster setup times) - Only avoid disarming, if your trap is set up after the 5th gen has been done (you can just escape in that case) *Legion:* (Mending/Healing) - Don't mend until the Deep Wound bar is nearly empty - Be careful with healing, as getting you injured is a piece of cake for Legion -> Only heal, if you already have medkit/healing perks *Plague:* (Cleansing at a Pool of Devotion) - Cleanse only, if you're injured - Think about where you cleanse (not in proximity of Survivors, non-finished Gens) - At the end of the game, just cleanse away *Demogorgon:* (Sealing portals) - Don't seal his portals (huge time waste) *Twins:* (Crushing Victor, if he's attached to you) - Don't crush Victor! Charlotte is a basic 115% Killer for 30s that way and you barely have any drawbacks - Only crush Victor if you're planning to escape (exit gate's blocked, if Victor's attached to you) - Tip: Pretend that you're crushing Victor until the "Crush" bar is nearly full. That way, Charlotte is gonna assume that she's gonna have Victor back in a few seconds. *Nemesis:* (Vaccinating) - Always vaccinate, except there's only few left and you're far from dead (a Survivor might need it, who is dead on hook -> save vaccines for endgame)

Thank you for the lessons, I was apparently making mistakes with Plague. Thought I was to never, ever, touch the fountains ... or people would be angry with me.

Demogorgon: many demogorgons are now using their portals to protect totems so if you see one that isn’t near a gen, maybe check if there’s a totem nearby. Nemesis: grab a vaccine first thing if you’re in solo queue, otherwise your greedy teammates will use them all (as someone who had two teammates who used all 4 vaccines before she had a chance to use one)

As a plague main i cannot condone the content in this video. Just cleanse when you think its best :)

If you’re playing Bite the Bullet and Self-Care and you need to wake up, you can also purposely fail a healing skill check to wake up instantly without losing too much progress and without alerting Freddy of your position. Same goes for healing your teammates, if the Wake Up interaction is taking too long.

Also I only just realised playing against demo they can still travel through portals even when you’re sealing them so unless the killer is busy then really don’t bother 🥴

Hey Otz, only just recently picked up Dead By Daylight again and found your channel after trying to look for some killer tips. I have rougly 46 hours in the game now and with your tips I managed to get to killer rank 8 just now (gonna try to get higher of course). Honorable mention I'd say is healing against oni: ALWAYS HEAL AS SOON AS POSSIBLE Too many people sit on a gen halfway done and create this giant pool of blood at their feet while their teammate is offering to heal

That plague part helped a lot ngl, only have been playing the game a month now and while I have been watching a lot of vids (I'm looking at some content from like 2019...) plague was one of the hard to answer questions in terms of cleanse or not. The twins "tech" was nice to know about aswell, never considered keeping Victor but I suppose it makes sense if they are going for slugs/snowball plays.

You should also mention that with twins, Victor shows the heartbeats of other survivors. & if they have the add on for everyone to be oblivious in his range, it can really mess up the team if they're not careful.

Nemesis is such an interesting one. If I'm playing with friends we honestly just ruin his day letting the zombies infect us to deny him his power from infecting survivors....probably wont work out well solo queue though

I like that you always put the killers own map when you talk about that killer.

Another thing to note about Plague. If you're in a dedicated SWF, you can coordinate with your team to cleanse at every pool available. Once every pool is red, they all turn blue again. It's risky to give that many pools to a good Plague, but if your team can pull it off, you'll all be healed and by that point you'll have negated Plague's power for approximately half a game.

I was on my second hook, one survivor was looping the killer and the other TWO were trying to get rid of all of demos teleportation holes 😑

As a Legion main, that anti rushed mending tip is gold. Too many times I've gotten survivors who think they're safe and instead of running away, creating distance, or doing gens, they insta mend. Excellent tip imo

Great video Otz! One thing that could've been mentioned about Pig tho, not just when to remove traps, but also when to NOT activate them. Completing a gen when the Pig managed to put traps on 2 or 3 survivors can add too much pressure on the game that it could just end it.

Should you heal against Oni? When you heal and he instadowns it was a waste of time, if you don’t he gets his power.

In nemesis case, just doing left and right to make his tentacles miss is a great thing to waste his time and forcing him to do m1's and by that point if you stun him aswell, he'll get really pissed and 1-1,5 gens would be done.

The thing with the legion mending, is that if you break line of sight even in mid chase, it’ll cause your bar to go down. My friend would get downed from bad legions because his timer ran out, even if they were chasing him the whole time.

5:176 I wish more people knew this. I've had a few die during EGC because they were trying to remove their inactive trap. When I play as Plague I struggle more against teams that cleanse often more so than I do against ones that stay infected. Having Corrupt Purge doesn't help too much against healthy Survivors, as it's not an insta-down, just easier to line up double hits than M1ing. And if you can force the fountains into a reset at an inopportune time so much the better. But don't cleanse if you're just going to get infected again right away. Victor needs a slightly longer respawn time once killed. As it is right now it's better to hold him hostage than it is the crush him because he comes back so quickly. Thanks for the video Otz.

Otz, if you see this, newer players to DBD would likely appreciate an updated video on this exact topic now that there have been changes to some of the Killers featured (Pig only having 5 boxes, Legion being able to chain hit downs) and some new Killers with interactable powers have come out (Wesker's First Aid Spray, Skull Merchant's drones).

First thing: you are a great teacher, you can explain simply and to the point (in the case of my teachers in technical school, it is the other way around) The second thing: I love you for what you are, in less than a week it will be a year from the moment I watch you on RU-vid and occasionally on Twitch. Thanks to you (mostly) I can deal with killers much easier in Dead by Daylight. Sometimes I can't understand what's going on in the game quickly enough. And it ends really badly. I am begging you, do not change, the community of this game needs you and not only you. And I have one question about Wraith and the Nurse. Wraith: Do I need to glow INTO his EYES while appearing and disappearing to be stunned? Nurse: while charging the blink, you need to shine in her hand or is it enough to blind her as standard for it to count as a stun?

Thank you for bringing forward the appropriate times against plague, a lot of people think never cleansing the whole match is the solution, and it's not. Just do it at correct times, only when injured, and in far away/inconvenient spots for her.

Cool trick that I want to see checked out: Hag reversing Instead of walking forward into a hag trap, walk backwards into it. You snap to the trap, and move away automatically because you were already moving backwards.

For the nemesis I always open the boxes as I pass them if i’m safe so that way everyone else on the team can access them quickly if needed.

I have now played this game for 1200 hours and although I don't know some stuff relating to newer chapters, i thought i know every single thing about the older chapters. But being able to "disarm" the hag's phantasm absolutely blows my mind.
