Yeah, you’re allowed to shout as a free citizen in any non-tyrannical country. Maybe you’re in the wrong country? Now, if another citizen voices a complaint, THEN it MAY be a crime. The police cannot a complainants for such infractions.

Free speech means you can say whatever you’d like so long as it’s not an incite to violence or a threat and you will not be arrested but screaming is completely different. airlines overbook flights all the time. She could get a hotel room and first option to fly on the next flight to her destination. all she had to do was be calm and ask for it.

Yes, that's true if you have been drinking. But, in some states if you refuse a sobriety test you automatically get your license suspended for 6 months (depending on the state), so if you haven't been drinking you might be better off doing it. With that said though, I don't think I could pass some of those field sobriety tests even when I'm bone dry sober. I'd request a blood test be done because I think those are the most accurate or a brethalizer.

@@Sandman60077 My understanding is that's normally true for a calibrated test at the station.. not for SFSTs. Often, refusing to provide a breath sample at the station gives an automatic suspension (and I've normally heard it be 1 year not 6 months, but yes, I'm sure that varies between states); I've never heard that about the field tests. Also, the field tests aren't supposed to be just about dexterity and balance... It includes things like your ability to remember and follow simple instructions, which you should be able to do fine if you're sober. It gives the officer more chances to observer your overall behavior. I have, in fact, seen body cam footage of an officer performing field tests on a driver who did everything fine and did not seem impaired and the officer released them without charges and let them drive away from the stop. I don't know how often that happens but I think our data is skewed due to (a) usually no one pulls body/dash cam and posts it on social media unless something goes south with the interaction; and (b) usually, if an officer is asking you to do SFSTs then they already have a strong enough suspicion that you're impaired that they've already decided they are going to charge you and/or arrest you anyway - no matter whether you do them or not. Anyway, yes, if you've been drinking then it is pretty much a no brainer: be polite about it, but don't bother with the tests, just go down to the station and blow and deal with what comes.. the tests aren't going to help your situation. If you truly are sober then I think it is less clear.. you could do the tests and they'll let you go or you could do the tests and they arrest you anyway. If you don't do the tests, aren't acting foolish, don't give them anything to go with, and then blow 0.0, you should be good.. but it's still a massive inconvenience and they've probably towed your car by then. I don't know how you remedy that.

yeah no, there isn't a law that requires female officers to be present while searching a female suspect, they do it if there is a female officer available to make the suspect feel more comfortable but it's not required, and at the end of the day the safety of the officers means more than her right to comfort while being arrested during the commission of a crime

Also having a female officer could have potentially deescalated the situation which would have been to the officers safety instead of having one dealing with bite protocols. I never said they did anything wrong, just that her request wasn't necessarily wrong. Being a homeless woman there could be a reason she doesn't want men grabbing her She could also just be a crazy b*tch.

yeah, her mistake was going insane afterwards. It sucks but it happens sometimes. She could've just asked for the next flight since her money was already refunded or a room for the night.

Possibly, but we only hear her side of the story.. we don't know what ticket she actually purchased or what terms were connected with it. We don't know what exactly went down (other than what she claims) that caused them to kick her off the plane. No matter what, she was wrong in yelling at and fighting with the police.. her beef isn't with them, it's with the airline. The airline refunded her money and refused service, so she has to leave the area. The police are not responsible for that.

@@aj897you’re saying that they’re not obligated to do so as if that’s the way it has to be. What’s wrong with making that a right to the public. Seems like it would solve a lot of issues. A simple law passing that states if you request a cop of the same sex during a pat down , one must be provided unless there’s specific circumstances that make that request impossible within a reasonable time frame.
