it also matches with what tony himself was told. "Big man in a suit of armor. Take that off, what are you?". only difference is that Tony had answer for that question.

Yeah , but neither was supposed to be locked into those weapons. The hammer is only a conducting tool for thor , in myth and the movie. I think they just had to give then different weapons , especially since the hammer was Hellas first.

@archangel1742 Well, to be honest, Pete has been Spider-man since I was knee-high to grasshopper going all the back to Morgan Freeman and Rita Moreno of Electric Company fame. Now, that being said, I'm a huge fan of What If and stories from alternate realities, including Ultimate Spider-Man's death and Nick Fury passing the torch to Miles Morales. Heck, there's even room in my heart for Ben Reilly (sort of). What I really LOATHE though, is the idea that Pete had to have Tony Stark to "tutor" him when historically Pete is more than capable of doing it all on his own!!

Isn't that the exact same thing Steve Roger's told him(Tony) in the first Avengers movie? Yet Tony proved Steve wrong just like Peter would eventually prove Tony wrong.

Well yes, but actually no. Tony had knowledge. With this power, he constantly improved his suit. Even Thanos respected this.
