When The 1/4 oz. Rattletrap Outproduces Other Lures In The Fall

Cashed checks in the fall burning 1/2 oz traps as fast as I can reel em in. That same exact color! Bluegill bite was on too.

I saw a kid catching bass after bass so I asked and he says I found this lure on my garage floor! It was a blue back and silver lipless crankbait. Needless to say I went to bass pro shop today. 😂

I love throwing them but haven't had any success at all with them. My local lake is fill of algae and just covers everything. You get a few feet of pulling through grass but eventually hit the algae near the shore. Boat, yaks and tuber fishermen have the advantage to position themselves.

Old school rattle traps work really good on these herring lakes down here in SC. I like silver because of herring. I use really small ones. They will tear that thing up!
