@@sukumadehkI haven’t really seen Naruto so correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t it have some of the best fight choreography in shonen? From what I’ve seen the fights are great.
ifecreates I disagree. I feel that from what I’ve read of the manga, the fight choreography is average at best and incomprehensible at worst. But then again, I am a Naruto hatter, so take what I say with a grain of salt.
@@sukumadehk the fights in Naruto are WAY better in the anime than the manga. And I say that while currently reading the manga. Like I literally have it open next to me
@@DeadPalmMonkeyI really liked the part where Sukuna revealed that he was just pranking Yuji and said "No hard feelings, just business; In this world there are only those who skibidi toilet and people like you and me are you the strongest because you are with this treasure always bet on hakari where you go I go" and gojo comes back from the dead after being revived with reverse cursed technique and says "I guess we're some kind of jujitsu kaisen" and the end credits featuring Chris Pratt as all of the characters with a Linkin Park song 😢
I can't believe the live action will have Chris Pratt playing as every single character AND the end credits and soundtrack will all be done by Post Malone and Linkin Park
I also like to think of the Torture Dance from JJBA part 5. It was only like three panels in the manga but they went and made a whole ass music video for it in the anime
Mob Psycho 100 easily benefited from adaptation taking it from funny obscure little piece to world known. And oringal Trigun series. Nightgow wasn’t done with the manga and so much of it was freestyled and heavily influence the overall direction of the manga after first few volumes!
kekkai sensen too, actually i like nughtgow's work, but it is a pain to decipher his stories sometimes anime adaptations of his works don't get enough credit for what they do with his stories
@@gaktaulah5161but if it have a good production schedule, hakuyu go will not direct the episode, vincent chansard will not be there, weilin zhang will also not get invited and the episode will (for better or worse) look different.
@@LORDxkripikmemes I think the original intention was to let Zhang animate the entire portion that he has storyboarded, but that couldn't happen due to the lack of time. He was still a key component at very first place regardless of the production schedule. Regarding Go and Vincent's participation, I agree that it was a blessing to have them as emergency saviour considering crazy shits that they did. However I would be completely fine if we got another Miso's episode with a much higher level of polish like episode 16. They are all my favourite artists after all so I'm glad of how the final product turned out like what we've got to see, or even if it wasn't 😊
I also always talk about how the Death Note anime uses colors (you know, the red and blue contrast between Light & L) and music to really take that series to a new level
I think Sousou no Frieren did really well on the anime. Heightens not just the battle scene where most shounen anime focuses but also expanded on stories, fleshing out scenes that are just 1 panel like the dancing scene or some of the exploring scene. The anime also consistently having high quality of animations throughout the series. Not only the artstyle but the BGM and sound designs are top tier that heightens battle scene and the emotional part of the story too. Trully a masterpiece of an anime.
The first scene where I noticed how good Frieren's animation is was when Fern sits near Stark, lifting her cloak to sit more comfortably, and then does that super cute head movement while telling him "Right? Right??". Immediate top tier.
Same cloud be said for Jjk and Jjba Golden Wind - Nanami's final battle and Fugo's backstory. Fugo's character changes so much depending on if you're reading or watching
The anime adaptation for K-ON! was such an upgrade, K-on became massively popular and an iconic slice of life/moe anime. The ending got me emotional too…
Yeah, going to the manga after the anime was disappointing. What they did to make it better was amazing. Nichijou jokes in their animation were godtier too.
I love how we got Nanami content in the movie whilst he originally wasn't there. His scene added to his character. I also really liked what they added in some of the last scenes
1. Happy Sugar Life especially unsettling is the voice acting and the animation. 2. Reigen casually swatting away tiny black holes at the end of S1 3. The entirety of Kill la Kill
@@Whitedudeabove since anime originals are a very risky endeavour, only a handful came out in a decade so not many people know if the anime they watch is not adapted from any existing IP.
_There was also the dodgeball episode, where they made Yor's training in the anime, which wasn't in the manga, as well as making the game feel straight out of a fantasy anime, it was beautiful_
Another example I think of is One Piece with Brook's backstory and the song. Reading it is one thing, watching it and hearing it, it hits like a truck that's going to isekai me to another world.
One series that comes to mind is JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. The anime is pretty faithful to the manga, but there are some elements that really heighten it.
Same, I immediately thought of the gang torture dance, it's Like, one page of the manga, but in the anime, they made it a 1 minute long musical number (Banger)
Nah, it's just that you're not familiar with people using that description. It's like saying it feels weighty and dynamic, the movement is fluid but it's also got that oomph that animation can achieve at it's highest level
I think A-1 Pictures really delivered the humor of the series well and improved it by unique artstyle and effect options, making a lot of space for memes too. Also, THESE scenes from the movie and end of 3rd seasons were something fucking special, which a loved a lot as a fan of manga
The best "anime better than manga" easily has to be the Bleach TYBW anime (cour 2 to be specific, but cour 1 also was awesome). The mangaka is literally working on it with the studio to fix the manga's issues, so every single episode has new content and best of all: no censorship like the 2009 anime🎉🎉🎉
JoJo was my first anime ever and it showed me how a proper adaptation should be, not only does it enhance the pre-existing material, it adds to it! (And then part 6 got adapted..) Another anime i like is called Tis time for torture princess, the adaptation is very cute.
I remember trying to read the bungou stray dogs manga after watching the anime. H O L Y shit they added so much personality to the city that just wasn't there at least in the early chapters of the manga
@@saritayadav9200 I don't think so, since the last season of Bungo Stray Dogs actually did the finale BEFORE the manga was finished to leave both manga readers and anime-only viewers in the dark of what was happening. To my knowledge, they are now trying to build that manga buffer back up since the season ended on a huge cliffhanger.
I remember watching that episode of spy family and was enjoying it. But then I red the panel of that same event and was like "where is..EVERYTHING?!?" 😂😂
Aot anime also fixed the ending by tweaking some dialogues and mostly the Eren and Armin talk in the paths. It was mostly same except for Armin's reaction of Eren killing 80% populus.
I've noticed that many Japanese studios prefer to adapt 1:1 from manga to anime (and only the amazing few would deviate/improve). Whereas American studios do not faithfully adapt a comic/work frame to frame. They always put their own interpretation.
Some other great examples are the final Tengen Vs Gyutaro fight. And that one anime original scene where After Asuma died, Shikamaru plays shoji and has a bit of an argument with his Father and Shikaku tells Shikamaru to let it all out
@@MaximusChivusI feel like this is a case where demon slayer manga is mid but the studio adapting it is amazing. If there's something wrong with the anime, the manga wasn't any better.
@@MaximusChivusThat's because KNY is just simple as a story to understand and aimed towards kids. Monster is way less popular than KNY, but that doesn't mean that KNY is better.
I also like to think of "Call of the night" and the entire story behind it with Creepy Nuts who produced the music for it after the manga was initially made as an hommage to one of their songs. The Anime really came full circle and is an absolute masterpiece.
it's one of the reasons i like the anime so much. i read the manga a few years back and quickly forgot about it, but when the anime came out, i became obsessed. with spyfam, you can tell the the team working genuinely cares about the show. they understand the characters and it adds so much to the anime
You knock that one scene from Naruto here with the art style not being very detailed, but there are still some things I feel the anime did better than the manga. The 1st thing that comes to mind is how the anime gave two other jinchuriki their own filler arcs and actually fleshed them out (The Six Tails host Utakata & Seven Tails host Fuu). Heck, when CC2 was making Storm 3 they looked at the former's arc and basically said "Let's acknowledge that arc actually happened here."
Honestly, my favorite is Madara vs the Gaara division in Shippuuden. The screaming and praying and spittle flying was a bit much, but the rest? Amazing. One of the best fight scenes in Naruto. Really justified all the fear of Madara
Story in the video format is usually enough of the improvement for the original: anime adds music, soundeffects, flow of movement and overall easier understanding of complex fight/action scenes for the viewer
Fruit Basket also greatly benefited from the recent anime adaptation. Firstly for the art style of course. But also because the anime was made once the manga was finished, which allowed it to reorganize some things around just a little bit to make the foreshadowing work better.
I was half crying at the end of the episode of this because all I thought of was how happy anya was and how loid might leave after the mission is complete
I think even just being able to add music is amazing for a lot of stories. In Girls Last Tour there’s a scene where Chitto and Yuuri are taking shelter from the rain and listening to the sounds from raindrops hitting cans and helmets. The manga just had a bunch of music notes on the page, and it got the point across, but the anime has a whole song they wrote for that scene and it slaps.
Definitely have to mention mafuyu's song from given. I mean it was expected bc the manga doesnt have sound but the anime literally created SUCH A BANGER LIKE IT WAS SO GOOD
I'd love for you to talk about houseki no kuni, it's such a small anime and manga and i feel like it needs more recognition and you talking about it I think would do that!
Tengen using his musical score technique. I am an anime only so I was surprised to find out that one of the most beautiful pieces of animation was like 5 panels in the manga
In HxH during the hunter exam they have to wait a long time in a room of the tower because leorio lost his bet. In the 2011 anime this is shown in a very detailed way, featuring wholesome and funny moments whereas in the manga the time in that room is just skipped.
Can we talk about Rukia's bankai? and also Senjumaru's bankai (one of the division 0) that was never showed in the manga but absolutely nailed it in the anime? CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW BANGERS THEY ARE
Mashima also used anime to expand the arcs he didn't have time to do like Starry Key or Eclipse Spirits arcs, or even fixing the finale, by adding extra fighting scenes and Acnologia flashback.
I can't remember if this is accurate or not, but something I loved about the Dr. Stone Anime from the Manga was an episode dedicated to making the freeze dried ramen. I read the manga before watching the anime, and I don't remember it being covered, so there was this added layer to the anime of really well thought out plans of making the food and having to explain why it was so practical for the coming war. Unless I somehow missed a chapter?
I personally like how earlier in that episode Franky called Loid “Loidy-Boy” and that is honestly my favorite scene in the whole anime, but I was disappointed when it wasn’t in the manga (I watched the anime before starting the manga)
In Berserk a huge moment was the total solar eclipse which brought the demons to the human world. In the manga I was expecting at least a full page spread if not two for that iconic moment. It hardly got a quarter page
The Promised Neverland anime had a moment like this. Norman decides he's going to sacrifice his life for the greater good, and immediately after deciding this he walks down the hall to get a cup of water. In the manga it's a single page, but in the anime, it's a long POV shot where you hear every footstep, feel every breath. You really feel the unspoken emotions of this kid coming to terms with the fact that he is about to die.
