I have a friend who consistently uses filters in every photo, and she has become so accustomed to it that one day she posted a photo without a filter and said, "I look ugly." It's disheartening to see people relying on artificial beauty enhancements rather than embracing their natural selves.

I think its ok to use a slight filter like lighten the face a bit but not a filter who shapeshift the whole face coz its like another person already 😢 plus people started to hate their own face instead of accepting theirselves and you lie to yourself already 😮‍💨 they forgeting what defines people are their personality more than their physical appearances

Its not just there fault its the life we live in today. Its ultimately how a lot of people survive. @@koalamud5087 at best, most of these filters don’t even look real anyway; and at worst, some people have no common sense when using them and end up looking like voldemort or some sort of space alien. I find both extremes very off-putting and IMO it just makes the person using them look really insecure, which is not a trait that one would think would be ideal.

I REALLY hope that this doesn’t come off as patronizing, because it absolutely is NOT. Even though I am probably old enough to be your grandmother, I really admire you speaking out on this issue! I am sure that it was not an easy decision to make this video; it’s sure to offend some people, but hopefully you reached some who truly HEARD your message, and move to a simpler and more authentic life. That way they have a chance to make their mark on the world instead of hiding at home making up a fake identity (and probably their lifestyle, as well) to pretend that you have lots of friends. It sounds like a lot of lonely people that need some mental health aid.

I genuinely find how fake filters are so disgusting that I refuse to be seen with them on. Either my new appearance is unpleasant, or the deception of the new ‘beauty’ is unpleasant. But I feel like every time I see any filter at all used by anybody, it’s extremely obvious to me. It’s ok though if it’s a silly one just for laughs.. I don’t know why so many people find it attractive to want to use them all the time. Those kinds are ugly I’m aware some are automatic. I remove automatic ones and I think to choose to keep it is buying into it more

I am unapologetically mediocre-looking and living my best life not caring about filters, surgery, etc, and people around me either accept me or don't, and that's their business not mine. I'm happier than I ever was when I was obsessing about getting the perfect winged eye, or having the smallest waistline. So much energy spent on things which don't matter when you could be spending that time doing things you actually love and which make you uniquely you!

The only filter I like to apply to my photos is one that softens my skin & removes my eye bags. One of my wedding photos, edited so that my face looks slimmer, I only found out later when it was printed on canvas. I don't like it because I don't recognize it as me, so I gave it to my mom in law. 😂😂😂
