It definitely gives off a sort of "My Shot" vibe for me. Spongebob is willing to stay and stop the valcano from exploding and he's willing to save his town, kinda like how Alex was willing to fight in wars. There's also a rap cut from the cast audio(you can find it in the live audio though) and someone did the math and Plankton raps faster than Lafayette! I think there might have been some inspiration from Hamilton!
All kids shows: When the going gets tough stand your ground and be brave! You can do anything! Plankton and Karen: When the going gets tough that means it's time to get lost!
I'm Plankton in our high schools production (we're like, really good, when we go to state awards they always talk about us a ton) so i am feeling the pressure but this is honestly giving me a few new ideas and i love it, 12 days till the show and i think this is gonna be great
i would genuinely be convinced by Plankton for a few reasons. 1 - I'd be terrified for my life, doing anything I could to survive. 2 - He is mentally convincing, describing the situation exactly as it is, including the fact we'll die if we don't leave. 3 - He has Karen to convince people as well. If I was in that situation, I would see it as a rational desicion, because others were suggesting the idea. 4 - He uses musical manipulation, making people pay much more attention to the concept in proposal. 5 - I'm easy to trick, because I put my full trust in people posing as someone that could help. 6* - Even when Eugene believes it's a scheme, I would probably not pick up on the actual meaning, thinking it's a simple joke, because Plankton backfires with a joke about his sleeves. I find it hard to seperate when someone is being serious (Eugene), and when someone is joking (Plankton), without a reaction from other people. So, if I was a character in the musical, I would most probably be the first to fall for it, which isn't that surprising. *(Expanding on reason 6, when people don't act shocked at Eugene's claim, I would think other people know he's joking, because they don't react. However, when people react to Plankton with 'OOHHH!', I would see it as a joke, because people are supporting him in his act.) Am I really hyperfixated on such a thing? Yes. Yes I am.
