i mean it all goes full circle considering the premise of the overarching story and the dilemma of gluttony, its quite fitting, at firsg i just expected the manga to be like slice of life fantasy setting but it really had a complex plot that redefined what I would expect from a manga like this, it was unassuming at first I just expected it to go on forever till they completed every food group of a monster but this story actually has a proper end.

In retrospect, Laios had indeed planned to do what he did ever since he learned of how being a Dungeon Lord worked from Marcille... Which wasn't quite that long before actually putting his plan into motion, but the very fact he was able to plan the deception of a literal demon is impressive in itself. He stayed silent because he was making a gamble (that the demon would be far too greedy to consider being deceived), and answering positively to Kabru's question would imply certainty, which was far from the reality. TL; DR: Laios took a gamble and he hates lying to others. Not to mention that Kabru wouldn't think twice about killing a dude that places the fate of the entire world into gambles.

What’s the story about? Just the general description of the manga.

@@quackyman796 the main party is on a journey into a dungeon to revive the MCs sister who was eaten by a monster, along the way the need food so they resort to eating the monsters. I'm not really great at explaining things and don't want to spoil anything, but I'd give the series a solid 9/10 and is one of my favorite manga.

Got bored in chapter 3

At first glance it seem like generic fantasy dungeon story but after first few episode i got so hooked with the story and lore of this fantasy world it is like when dnd at its peak or when dungeon master create the most profound story ever

Absolutely. I was reading this and I laughed out loud at several points. It was funny but also had storytelling that made you empathize with the characters by making their actions understandable.

Most modern manga that start off looking like a gag end up following that route

Dungeon Meshi doesn't really get much darker this (although it's anyone's guess what Kui has planned for coming chapters), but I'll have more videos coming soon, when I have the time to make them! :)
