but at least he moves his body and even shows some expression that indicate how he is feeling. In BOTW we can see him comforting her, paying attention, reacting to what's she's saying/doing etc.

Always so impressed by how chameleonlike the cast are!! Pretty sure 'Link' is the guy who also played Zephyr the Bard? (as well as several others since then) What the Deerstalker team & guest cast can all do to reinvent themselves via costume, wigs, makeup & body language is super-impressive!

Ha! This is great. I love how he just looks like a blank slate. Zeldas diary in BOTW tells how Link would chat with her but is usually quiet. And in TOTK they lived together in Link's house that you buy and upgrade in Hateno from BOTW. So I guess they talked a bit there too ;)

I don't know, it looked to me like he was AFK. Not being able to say a word is one thing, but if it's anxiety he would have different facial expressions ... here he didn't have any at all, he didn't even try to say something. I am not sure if he even blinked.

The funny thing is, Link does talk, even if the player doesn't hear it. Hell, BoTW/ToTK Link might be the most talkative one yet, despite having an established reason in his backstroy to be taciturn.

Yeah, there's a few cases in the games where we are clearly talking to the various people we meet, we just don't actually hear Link speak. Around Zelda he absolutely stays silent for her, but he does communicate when needed.
