Fun stuff. Cute puppet. Sharp-looking Link. Familiar puzzle format. This game must have frustrating controls. It's the only explanation for the difficulty in completing the puzzle.

Feel like real reason people sometimes can't solve simple puzzles is the need to over complicate them because you naturally assume it was made to be difficult. Could also made a joke about how many just google puzzle solutions now a days online.

@@georgiynikitenko7600I think that finding the solution you expected isn't or at least shouldn't be that important to the DM. As you say the players may come up with a more fun, effective, idea on their own, though equally with so many choices they can get frozen and fail to see the obvious solution to what wasn't even meant to be a puzzle... So I would suggest you should always have the pencil napkin sketch of a solution or two - just a bit of an idea in mind, so should your players completely fail to find a solution you have ideas on what hints to drop, and can work up to the brick through a jeweller's window level of subtly if really required (but that is to be avoided if possible - the world is yours, their personal stories should be theirs)...

Or sometimes you have no idea that there's a puzzle there in the first place. I never knew that you were supposed to put more apples in front of the idols or that there was any significance to the three random trees on a hill. I was just like, "hey, free apples!"😂

OK the ending makes this have a little more sense. This is the player's first game, and first korok seed. They're still learning all the little quirks and having fun leisurely enjoying the game instead of achievement hunting or trying to complete it. Let's wish this player luck, and that they have an enjoyable first experience.

I’ve lost count of how many times I have lifted a rock, found a Korok and then accidently dropped the rock on their head. Also, does anyone else hate it when you drop the rock, find a Korok, but it doesn't perfectly align with the shape so you have to fix it?

The last Zelda games that I played thoroughly were Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. I played a bit of Wind Waker at a friend's house. Good to see stone circles remain in circulation. Pun half-intended.

Here we witness what happens when the hero of ages gets a tablet computer, thus joining the age of infinite distractions and instant gratification. While in the process losing the genius of his past, this simple rock circle with exactly one element missing, and with that element sat completely unhidden without even a locked door or traversal challenge in the way would have been insultingly simple to the child incarnation that would play an Ocarina, travel through time all while smashing a great deal of pots. So while this new hero may unbalance the economy less, with only 5% of the population finding work by taking up the pottery wheel rather than so many starvation beckoned as even farming becomes all but a lost art... Perhaps on balance near infinite hidden forest folk distractions and the tablet was a good idea.

Is there an valid explanation why, starting in BOTW, these Koroks even hid and made rock and metal-box puzzles? They were even surprised Link, a Hylian, could see them, so they weren't hoping for a Hylian, let alone Link, to find them. I assume even their balloons and such are not visible by Hylians? Of course Hyrule in BOTW & TOTK is only usable by Link, so doesn't matter if anyone can see them or not. Even treasure chests are ignored by all NPCs, lol.

Yes, I know there are some cases where NPCs are trying to get a chest, or talk about a chest, but of course once you help them or once you get the chest, it's "Oh, I didn't want it anyway" to some degree.
