Only someone who comes from War-shington state could get this confused! 😂 That’s how my Gramma prounced it. Absent ever hearing it spoken, I’ve been thinking “mee-plaht” for a couple of decades and don’t plan on changing 😜
Lol! If everyone knows what you are saying, effective communication has been achieved. Critiquing pronunciation after that point is obnoxiously pedantic.
Mee-plat. Dont care if that's the right or wrong pronunciation... Everyone who knows what it is will know what you mean. Tomato is pronounced: 'maters.
Who the hell cares if you pronounce it wrong. I know what you mean. I don’t care if stuff is misspelled either. Now numbers are important. Those need to be correct. I don’t trouble myself much with letters.
I'm from NE North Carolina where we were taught to speak with an Old Eglish brogue as a result of our rich settlement history, and I love being questioned by Bostonian friends!
Hi Keith, Not so concerned about toma-toe or to-mate-oh, the one that gets me in Australia is even the nightly news readers can no longer pronounce Emergency! It seems we no longer have the letter E in our vocabulary and it is now pronounced Amergency.. Even the auto correct didn't like that one. And it can't be blamed on accents. All the best. Dave from Oz.
I have a random question. If i had a surplus of brass for a particular rifle caliber, say .223 for example. If i wasn’t concerned about extending brass life or extreme consistency would skipping annealing be a problem? Assuming I could aim for only 2 or 3 reloadings and then just cycle in fresh brass.
