Baby EJ will stand by Fred no matter what! Right, wrong or otherwise. She’ll make it make sense later, but for right now…y’all heard what y’all daddy said!!😂😂😂
😂😅EJs facial distortions while Fred is yellin' at dem kids to go on a snack fast and sprite drinking along with the onions and bell peppers remark is Sending meeeee 😂😅
Technically, it’s called grazing. That’s what I called it whenever the lil cousins and the nephew would constantly walk around with snacks and drinks in their hands. It’s their unofficial summer job where they get paid in snacks to walk around with snacks! 😝😆🤣😂
Circa 2002 my husband had a blended family. His 2 daughters and my 2 sons. This 1 particular day i cooked 30 pieces of chicken with green beans and mashed potatoes. I figured that would be enough for leftovers for the next day. Those kids ate every piece of chicken and all of the potatoes. They ate like The Governor wasn't going to grant them clemency. They are all grown now with their own families. When i hear them complain about how expensive it is to raise a family. I share this story with them.
Y'all gotta give these kids weekly snack budgets. Physically give them money, take them to the store, let them buy whatever snacks with their money, then tell them"this is all you bought for the week you gotta make it last or have nothing for the rest of the week" stick to this and guarantee they ration it better.
YES. This is what we do. Only they don't go to the store with me, I buy snacks and keep them in a pantry and they get to buy from the pantry. I told them if they keep thinking they're gonna run in these streets, they better learn what commissary is anyway. 🤣
Yep. My mom started having us do the grocery shopping when I was a preteen. She would wait in the car. My older brother was 4 years older and my younger sister was 4 years younger. She gave us a list of house essentials and we could pick whatever extras. It definitely taught us a lot. Also changed how food was consumed. I highly recommend it.
I once baby sat my sister's three sons for about a week. 2 of them were teens, one of them in HS, the other in middle school. The third was still in elementary school. The first night we went shopping and we got the ingredients to make what they wanted for dinner. I made the mistake of letting them eat first. When they were done it looked like a wheatfield after a plague of locusts had descended on it. Never made that mistake again. I always made my plate first and then called them in to eat.
I remember eating an entire box of flintstones pushups during the summer in a single day and then spending all night throwing up orange and purple ice cream. My mom was furious 😂😂😂
That's what you get!! Now I need to know who was watching you!! Because ain't no way an adult was in the house and you went back and forth to the freezerdaire (as my granny would say) that many times without being noticed!! 😂🤣😂🤣
Yes those snacks will poison you! I still can't eat tootsie pops now (and I am 65 years old) bcs I binged on a bag of them in one day. Too much of a good/bad thing. A bag of ORGANIC CARROTS would not make you want to eat it continuously (like a drug) but that candy will do it every time😅
We ate(drank) garden hose water when we were kids. Stayed OUTSIDE, cause for one "Y'all ain't finna be runnin in and out all day lettin them flies up in here," and two "If you come back in here for ANYTHING you staying in!" in my granddaddy's voice. "You better get you a pack of them saltines and some viennas and go on somewhere!" 😂😂🤦🏿♂️
Oh my stars!!! Saltine crackers and potted meat - we couldn’t afford the Vienna sausages! And we put anything on saltine crackers - tuna & mayonnaise, peanut butter & jelly, sometimes “plastic” cheese slices. And Wyler’s drink mix - no big-time Koolaid for us! 😝
@Darly MH I actually preferred the potted meat over the Viennas!😂😂😅 You could always count on some saltines being in the house tho! And you're right... ate them with everything!
I feel you.. I was just fussing with my 15 year old daughter for eating all the snacks that I bought the day before. Then she had the nerve to ask me if I was going to buy more snacks. I could have literally choked her🤦🏾♀️🤣
My daughter will tell me that she didn't eat all the snacks, even though I didn't get any (it's only the two of us living there) and the few people that do come over wouldn't dare walk in my pantry and eat up the snacks.
The more you BUY, the more they'll EAT !!!😮 In the winter, it's freezing out (we live in Michigan)my daughter & her husband would hide their snacks in the TRUNK of their CAR !!!🤯😂😉 and take a reasonable amount of snacks indoors! In the summer they hide it in their luggage in the back of the closet and bring it out when they went grocery shopping acting like they had just bought it!!! And tell them when it's gone it's gone until we go shopping again. So far, so good !!! 😵💫😹🫤
True. But it also helps to find a snack that fills them up or that you don't mind them eating. My kids will run through some junk food Stat. But they're starting to like apples and yogurt a lot so I get more of that now. And cheese crackers. Plus they really don't want to hear my mouth. 🤭
I agree, my kids are grown and out of the house but I still leave drinks and snacks in the trunk to hide them from myself! Lol I'm less likely to go outside and get them so it lasts longer
My parents used to buy snacks they KNEW we didn't like like fig newtons, cracklins and diet soda..smh, I eventually adjusted and ate what was available 😂🤣🤣
@@Stayspiritual8 Every time I turn around, this man-child is HUNGRY! He’s a teenager who eats like a grown man already! 🤦🏽♀️ And we do NOT qualify for food stamps! Send HELP! 😩🫠
Mannnnn. I’m bracing myself as we speak 😂. My baby girl is lowkey giving me a preview of what summer gonna be like. It’s like, her “school stomach” decided to leave with ONE week left of school. Pray for me…. And my pantry…. And my wallet. Just pray 🙏🏾 😢😂.
Let us pray Father we come to You today to say thank You...thank You for Your provision and Your protection....please send Your angels to guide these children away from the cabinets and away from the refrigerators this summer Lord. Put it on their hearts and minds to remember that Momma ain't got it and Daddy ain't got it, but that You possess all that could ever ask or think! When they feel greedy Father, remind them to fill that belly with water and get into Your Word.....You are the Bread of Life! And they just need to take a bite, so that they'll never hunger no mo! It's in Your Son, Jesus' name we pray, Amen!
See...we gotta go back to the days when children did not go in the "frigidaire" as my grandma would say or eat a thang in the kitchen without asking. Abandoning this tradition is where we went wrong. 😂😂😬 I have these same discussions with my daughter...one child....yes, one child so I can only imagine what it is like when there is more than one.😂
I have 4 kids. My oldest son is 14. I am constantly telling him to ask before he eats anything. At this point I’m begging him and he still doesn’t ask. All he says is I’m sorry 🤦🏽♀️😅
😂 I still have this rule. My kids cannot get anything without asking first. If I catch them eating a snack they didn’t ask for they get a snack restriction for the next day which means all they eat is meals. No snacks all day 😂 It works most of the time
Babyyyyy!!! When you said “let me not eat ten of these because my momma might want one!!” 😂😂 I’m like yesssss!!! That’s meeee!!! Kids need to “Make some sacrifices for the family” got darn it. 😂😂 & dad being off topic is hilarious😂🤣😂
It's an open secret that dad's short circuit when they get upset and forget the plot. 😂😂 When Fred said soda isn't helping your grades I had a flashback and forgot where I was lol.
This is me fussin at my boys just yesterday cuz why we only a week into summer break and the fridge and cabinets half empty ?! I ain’t going to sams club every week behind y’all 😒
When I was younger and we were out of school our mom used to tell us 'look, this all I bought. I'm not going back to the grocery store until next week'. She meant it too; if we ate up all the snacks before she went back to the store, we were out of luck; she didn't make extra trips!
Every summer I was in a summer enrichment program lol. Then after that I had to find my own summer camps and apply to them. It was either that, stay with my grandma, or do unpaid summer work. But at least that meant I learned the habit of keeping active to where I had a summer internship each summer in college
My husband and I were literally complaining about the same thing this morning! Oh my gosh...you had me laughing hard! Seriously, we JUST spent a fortune on groceries, and they're almost completely gone! I think we're going to have to ration things this summer!🙄😄
You have to because if you don't it will break your pockets. My husband and I learned the hard way. So, now we buy snacks once a week. Now there is plenty of food so, they won't go hungry. They just won't have the snacks to eat on and overlook the more filling foods.
Y'all better stop sleeping on FJ cause he ain't lacking in the comical department 😂😂...that mane said "$600 worth of groceries and y'all done ate $512 worth of it" !!...I hollered laughing 😂😂 He counted that money down to the dollar, hunny 😂😂
I used to tell my daughter & son in the summertime, if they ate all the snacks within 2-3 days after I bought groceries , I wasn’t going to buy anymore until the next weekend when I was due to buy groceries. Too bad if there was no more snacks or drinks! Drink water ! 😅😂 The summertime grocery bill was getting too high, so they had to go on a “snack fast “ ( at that time I didn’t realize that’s what it was called until watching this video 😅😂). I couldn’t wait until they returned back to school ! 😅 😂
Triggered!!! If this ain’t the truth!! A bag of oreos I purchased last night already gone in less then 24 hours by 2 kids that was supposed to be home sick all day. Make it make sense!!! 😂
Good thing is, my daughter LOVES drinking water. But everything else…. 😢 Issa wrap. I can’t wait for school to restart (and no, her summer break ain’t een start yet 😂😂😂)
Since you have all boys go buy a big box of sanitary napkins and relocate them. Use the box to hide the snacks. It worked until I had that third one and it was a girl😂
Hilariously and true. Fred played that part well.🤣🤣 I feel you guys on this one. I’ve resorted to keeping a snack stash in my room and the veggie drawers of the fridge and freezer. This is how I know he never reaches for healthy snacks. 🙄 I slowly bring them out in the open over several days. Otherwise he’d eat everything in less than 48 hrs. If he’d just reach for the baby carrots, he’d find what he really wants. 😏
Your hubby is too funny 😂😂😂😂😂😂 and those crazy 🤪 facial expressions EJ was insane 😂😂😂😂😂😂 pretty accurate with the food cost of what was eaten 😮 God bless you both and your starving children!!!!!!!!!! 😂
Girllllll... I'm out here preparing a snack pantry like it's prison commissary. 🤣 They get their allowance every Friday. What they buy from the pantry is what they get. I have 2 big boys and they will eat everything but their shoes if I'm not careful! They get 3 meals a day, including dessert at dinner, and I keep a lot of pre-cut, pre-washed veggies and fruit out for them. But cookies, chips, candy, soda? Better have that money, honey. 😂
If I know anything I know 2 things for sure, Fred gonna take yelling at the kids too far into left field and I'm gonna enjoy every bit of it! 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂⚰️
*I hollered!!!!!* 😂🤣😃😄😅😆😂 Lawd, I am so glad to have an empty nest now because I raised two BIG boys, and that's what they did every school break. Fred brought back traumatic memories when he said they ate $512 of the $600 groceries! 😂😂🤣😂😁
I wish I had listened to my mom when I was a teenager about drinking more water. I'm darn near waterlogged from drinking so much water these past two years. The one thing I ate a lot of during the summers was her sweet potato pie. I really tried one day to only have a couple of pieces and next thing I know is half the pie was gone. Miss you Mommy!
Haha the kids left onions and bell peppers and ate everything else 😆. Some of these schools and local libraries still have free lunch during the summer for the students. Ya'll better inquire so these kids don't eat you out of house and home lol
a "school stomach" is a "survival mode stomach", i promise you those kids are sneaking snacks at every chance they get and wolfing them down in between classes so they don't get yelled at. when they're free and can eat whenever they want, of course the go wild!!! growing in hard work!!!
I have a 22, 21, 19, 16, 15 a and 14 year old at home..trust me, I get it! My kids that work? Dang right they buy their own snacks!! I would NEVER eat anything if it wasn’t for that-I’ve done been through those days! Lol
