Their plans backfire a lot because greed is their guiding force. And they cannot resist the temptation of a bigger score. This seems to work for them up to a point but eventually they meet their match. Another narc or an educated empath. Both are capable of taking a greedy narc down 🙃

Great episode, Andrew! I am currently going through a divorce, after 32 years of marriage. My mother is a narcissist, as well. My parents have completely betrayed me. I was crushed by this. However, it has been the best worst time, of my life! I have realized, who they are. I have gone no contact, and I I am healing, for the first time in my life. Keep educating us! We need you!🙏

Divorcing the narcissist is the toughest thing I've ever done. Prepare for the biggest attempts at deception and hurtful acts, particularly if you have children. But it is SO worth it!!!! I've never been happier since I became free!!

When he tried to gaslight me being crazy and mental ill I finally recognized that there is no way to deal with him any longer. So I thanked him for showing me my "instabilty" and left him telling that I dont want to be a burden for him any more Whishing him good luck in finding a better woman. He was shocked and tried to hoover multiple times until I blocked him. Heading month 11 of freedom now 🎉

My ex narc had made up a great scenario in his pea brain for after he discarded me like yesterday's news but he miscalculated big time because nothing of his plans worked out. And one thing I can honestly say is since I’ve stayed away a lot has been growing on my side. My faith in God has increased. My finances have increased. I’ve been healing. My health has increased. I was his mother, servant, and provided him a very nice house. He also wanted me to raise the grandbabies.

He discarded, didn’t end divorce, became the victim, got a new supply hiding her, comes back lying crying that he’s alone. Only to find out he’s in a new relationship. Cheating on her already she has no clue. They lie until they drop ! 😅

When the narcissist devalued me, she planned to have more control of me? But it backfired and I left. I leave whenever I felt someone pulling me down coz I think real friends support each other.

In my case the narc's timing to discard me, seriously worked against him. I received a HUGE amount of $$$$$$$$$$$ almost immediately after he discarded me! He found out and wanted to be "FRIENDS" !!!! My answer was NO and still NO! No way in HEL& NO!! Bye loser! Be strong do not walk backwards! Blessings!❤

Andrew conveys the agony of narcissistic abuse better than anyone else have ever listened to. I really needed to hear this today after another sleppless night. Maybe it is a character weakness in me but I am waiting for karma, justice, or whatever you want to call it to catch up with years of mistreatment, triangulation, and abuse from the narcissist. I guess I feel that if there is some type of consequence for his actions he will stop hurting me. I feel so desperate for others to see the light and how supressed my life has been. Sometimes I feel helpless and hopeless that I can heal and have a happy heart again. I just want to EXHALE again and be loved and valued for me... and not what I can do for him or his (sadly) entitled budding narcissistic children who I have raised since they were 1,3, and 4. If only I knew 30 years ago what I know now. Praying for others whose heart may be hurting too. (I love that Andrew always says you are loved and a beauitful bright light - a great truth filled reminder so many of us need to hear!)

Yes,IAM going through a divorce,and he's dragging it out. He tried to get me out of our home,and things didn't go his way. He's so angry,been together 32 years,and he wanted it all,and IAM still here waiting to sell the house,and still with the lawyer,but almost over with the lawyer. But it has been going on sfor a year and 5 months.Its crazy,it hurts still today knowing I have to find me a new safe home,when IAM all alone. But it will be better when I get out of here. You’ll never know their plans though, because that is always a deep dark secret… I finally put 2+2 together and realized that (in a romantic relationship) your love-bomb is another person’s discard; and your discard is another person’s love-bomb. I realized I was in a relationship with a man who was never once honest about his feelings, his intentions, or his plans. Thank you for another daily pep talk Andrew! Back when my mom was young and attractive, all of her plans worked out. She was so good at manipulation to get what she wanted. Now she's old and alone, and any plan she makes blows up in her face. I can't help but pity her because she is my mom and she has no one anymore, but it's her own damn fault.

Talk of divorce will give the narcissist beach ball eyes - it dawned on me that this response was actual joy at the thought of being relevant one grandiose last time, albeit with lawyers as paid friends. Sickening.

I had to repeat to myself, despite the fact that my narc is my own dad, I will NOT become ill, abused, or involved with any human who refuses to be thoughtful of my life. I'm a father. I'd never cross that line with my adult kids. The overwhelming lack of kindness combined with the audacity to tell me what to do and how to feel about myself, is sinister. Kindness escapes the narc. A sense of lightness and just being "chill" escapes the narc. So, yeah, if you are anything like myself, this game of superiority via abuse and zero concern for my life consequences doing the narcissists bidding is going to blow up in their face. My limit switch broke years ago. It's especially difficult to accept that a persons whose job in life is to be a parent, decides no, I'm going to game you, cross boundaries, verbal abuse, financially drain, suck up your time. RUN! No explanation required. The narc knows exactly why I disappeared.

Low vibe creatures. Another fantastic video. So well said. I graduated the hellschool, and now live up at that Pinnacle of indifference. (Great name for it!) Quick story: my younger sister Is one of the first narcissists I endured. I spent so many years trying to figure out why the relationship was so hard. When I finally understood that she wasn't trying to have a relationship with me, but she wanted power over me and she wanted slaves surrounding her, I got away from her. I didn't know about narcissism, but I figured out that first puzzle piece at least. Later relationships taught me the rest. She has been out of my life for 2 decades, and it's been so peaceful without her. But my mom died recently, and she was able to get my information somehow through extended family. And she reached out and tried to mess up my ability to do my mom's funeral. She hasn't talked to my mom in a decade, she lives several states away, but she started calling the hospice people, and the funeral director, and telling them terrible lies about me, and tried to use legal means to stop me from being able to bury her. She didn't want to do it herself, she just wanted to block my ability to do it. I'm so proud of myself, because what I did was just let her have her rant out there in La La Land, the funeral director couldn't proceed, but he was a kind man and kept me mom's remains at no charge for me while we waited. The hospice nurse had been working with me for a year so she knew I wasn't abusing my mom, like she was telling people. She knew that wasn't true, thank goodness, and she is the one who told me what was happening. So I just sat back, and waited. Every time she sent someone from extended family to contact me and threaten me that if I didn't contact her, she wouldn't allow the funeral to proceed, I either ignored them or blocked them too. I went on with my life, had a funeral without her body, and started processing the loss with my kids. We have to pick our battles. It wasn't ideal, it wasn't what my mom wanted, but that's life. I JUST KEPT LIVING. I didn't let her derail me or upset me, the only power she had over me was to put a pause on the funeral plans. Small price to pay to not get entangled with a snake again. The funeral director was a saint, and just worked with me. Eventually (9 months later!) she gave up, and I was able to proceed with the burial. And I never had to talk to her once, or anybody associated with her!!! 🎆🎇⚡👍 It kinda shocked me, that after all these years, she is still as toxic, and still as dangerous to me. But I protected myself, and was awakened again to how much they want to bomb your life. For no reason at all! What hell would she have put me through over the last two decades if I hadn't gone no contact?👀🤨🫣💣🔥🔥🔥 Thank you for what you are doing! I still need to hear it, as there will always be a new snake to target us if we let our guard down. It's just a truth about living on the planet... Trust must be earned. 🪷 🎇🎆💥🥰 Indifference really is a safe spot to keep us from entanglement with a snake. 🫶 🐍 🤺

My narcissistic sibling tried to get as much as they could. They dragged the inheritance legal battle for four years, I never gave up. At the end, they got less than what they would have gotten had they given up four years earlier.

It's been 3 months since I left and since I did everything for him, everything fell apart for him after I left. He texted me to please call a tow truck for him!! SMH. Yes they always over play their hand. I am almost there at the Pinnacle of indifference you refer to.

Left him! He tried to get back several times and I stood my ground without engaging. I healed without closure from him because closure doesn’t exist with these maladaptive folks. I am not angry anymore, and peace is now my environment. May every person have peace in their life, even the negative drama addictive ones.

I just closed my eyes and tried to imagine the narcissist as less than myself and a scary foreign feeling came over me. That was dark and empty. I wonder if that's what the narcissist feels like all the time. That thought is heartbreaking. No wonder their behavior is poison and destroys every bit of goodness in it's path. I don't want narc behavior wrecking havoc in my life anymore. Parents please love and guide your children properly. And, for goodness sake, take a course or two, or get counseling if you need to.

U just described my whole life with my X. A godless narcissist. I needed this knowledge 30 years ago. And to everyone else, get out ASAP. They will waste your time (years), money, energy, and speaking to brother yesterday he let it slip out that he was sleeping with my wife. Please, for the love of God, leave the narcissist before you're reduced to a crust of bread.

Yes, the new supply didn't know she was being played!

What happened to me really opened my eyes. I had (no contact now) a half brother, who I didn't really know. After our father's death he would communicate with me, got close. Then somehow convinced me to let him move in. Took everything he could, while almost collapsing my business, affecting my mental health massively and put a strain on my marriage. I'm 3 weeks "clean", and dealing with the negative voices in the head etc, but with Jesus I know I can heal. God bless anyone being forced onto this path.

Oh yes he knew he was doing towards the end of the relationship cause he started sending me pic of band aids. I'm proud I had the strength to walk away from this toxic evil individual.

My X Narc (3 degrees) didn't know how to use an electronic coffee pot! Either these people are lazy, clueless, or just plain needy! OK, all of the above. I am so grateful for Andrew and this community. Knowing that there is a name for the craziness is a comfort. I am forever grateful. 🙏❤️💯☮️💪☕️

This happened exactly as he said,we had 3 small children and then after work one day I went to the clinic and had a vasectomy, she paid little attention to that, 3 years later she was caught pregnant, i took her to court and had the paperwork to show I was still sterile, it was scorched earth for her, she was thrown out with nothing, Justice was served 42 years ago, probably wouldn't happen like that today, women are never held accountable.
