2 Thessalonian 2:1-4, tells us 2 things have to happen first, (first) a "falling away", (second) the "son of perdition " has to appear, and enter the temple and proclaim to be God. (the temple has not yet been rebuilt). Though, we should be living holy (Hebrews 12:14).

God the Holy Spirit teaches through the Word of God in the Bible. Isaiah 7:14: "Therefore the LORD shall give you a sign; behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and call His name Immanuel." "God with us" in human flesh without sin. The Savior was born to die for our sins! He did so 33 years later. His terrible ordeal; body mutilated; blood poured out, died and was placed in a tomb and rose from the dead the 3rd day never to die again. He is the first fruits of the dead. Only through Him can dead live! Matthew 28:6. Jesus died and paid the penalty for our sins to rescue us from eternal death. He died on our behalf. We believe in Him, trusting His death and shedding of His blood as payment for ALL our sins and His burial and resurrection from the dead the third day! John 20:24-31; again 1 Corinthians 15: 3-4 above. WHOSOEVER BELIEVES SHALL TESTIFY TO THE TRUTH Romans 10: 9 "that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." 13 "For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." TO DIE IS TO REJECT SALVATION IN JESUS CHRIST AND BE SEPARATE FROM GOD FOREVERMORE Salvation and forgiveness of sins is the blessing of anyone who believes in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We receive the baptism of God the Holy Spirit immediately which seals us in Christ and that is permanent! Ephesians 1:13-14. Those who reject the free gift of salvation, see John 3:16 above, "perish", which means their sins are judged by God the Son and they suffer eternal separation from God and the family of God forever called the "second death". Revelation 21:8.

No one gets left behind. The saved will be caught up when Jesus returns and the lost will be destroyed on that same day. No such thing as a second chance, it's not biblical. And yes, the church will go through the tribulation. Probation will close BEFORE the tribulation of the plagues begins. Meaning the lost will remain lost, and the saved will remain saved as it is written. No more changing sides. At the end of the tribulation on the last day of earths history is when Jesus returns and the saved are caught up to be with Him in the clouds. Then the earth will be burned up with no life left on it. The authors of the Left Behind books themselves claim that the books are fiction. But many people believe these fiction books are somehow connected to the bible. The bible has a very different outcome of end times events.

Amazing how the Western church has become emotional and does not preach anything rational anymore. Jesus in Revelation adressed one church and told her to endure until death. This was said at a time where the church was facing immense persecution from the Roman Empire and the "beast" referred to in Rev could possibly be Nero (666). No such thing as a "rapture" . This escapist mindset is as weak as the modern Western church.

Do not fear. So long as you trust in Christ for your salvation you are saved. Eternally. Rest in Christ and His perfect, complete work.

Those are doughts, put in you head by the deceiver telling you your sins are to great and you're not good enough because you still have temptations and sin without thinking. Every Christian has those same thoughts, if they are honest with themselves. My grandmother who to me was a living saint was poor as a church mouse loved God and taught her grandchildren about Jesus at an early age, and I heard her say more than once, I hope The Lord will forgive when I get up there, this astonished me coming from a woman who would spell out s.h.i.t or he double L when she dropped a dish or caught the cat on her dinner table. But now I get it. Now think back, Before you knew Christ and were saved throught the blood He shed on the Cross. Did you have those thoughts, did you have a fear of not going to heaven. NO you didn't, reason is the deceiver had you where he wanted you, Jesus has claimed you as His lost sheep. Being a Christian does not mean you're still not sinner, because we do that daily it's in our nature in our thoughts or the way we treat others without thinking. Being a Christian means we're forgiven by Christ blood, study His word so you grow in faith so you can defend it when others scoff and guard your thoughts and tongue and tell others about Christ. @@omor33 this gave me chills to be honest, because before I was saved I never thought about my salvation heaven or hell really. My mom passed away last Christmas eve. She was the most christ like person I've ever met. She lived and died by the cross. I never really thought about God till her passing. What you said sounded like something mother would have said.
