The problem is if you are a service advisor and you do know a lot about cars it can screw you over too. You need to remember to hold your tongue and get the car into the shop first. Don’t do any diag over the phone or in the office 😂. It’s hard for me sometimes because I could tell people what they need sometimes. Thing is I have to sell the diagnoses and if they’re not willing to pay for that then to bad. It’s make my job easier because me and my techs can talk easier.
It's not that deep. But in all seriousness if somebody this clueless actually calls you I would just pray that he can easily find another job cause he won't last long in that position anyways lol
Trust me this is very real. A decent adviser would actually use their head sometimes and Google the damn code up and give the customer some detail or information about the code and we need to START HERE. Been doing this for 12 years now and I’m actually surprised on how long I’m still going lol
I am a ase certified automotive tech this is not so far from the truth in this industry. Us experience guys who been in the field since the good old days know what I mean. 😂😂😂
Yep and they look EXACTLY like the knucklehead in the video on the phone. Get out of the dealerships and either get into independent shops or start working for yourself. These dealerships are leeches.
Well in their defense, they’re the ones taking the heat for the techs and the shop, and the one selling the product that you make your living off of. Can’t have one without the other at the dealership. It’s a sales position so if they’re selling alot they’re gonna get their money. Idk why another man would ever get upset about how much another man makes.
