bro the flutes in my band are absolutely silent until the low brass melody and they blast so me and 1st chair have to play 100x louder or else we can not be heard
@@daniellepalao4089 Cool! Our performance also contained the Berceuse movement right before the Finale, but I think the trumpets were the only section that didn't play during that (maybe percussion as well but idk)
it’s hard to explain if you don’t play a brass instrument, but i’ll try: there are only 7 “positions” on the trombone slide (much like how there’s 7 different valve combos on 3-valve brass) and in order to play more than only 7 notes, there are different “partials” we switch between with the direction of our air, so it’s a mouth adjustment instead of/as well as a button adjustment. so in order to do a trill on trombone, you have to make that mouth adjustment up and down extremely quickly. It’s very difficult and requires a lot of practice.
@@tuhmater2985Most charts in 7 arent counted off like that. I just mentioned it because it was definitely a nod to whiplash and is an otherwise abysmal way to count off anything in 7.
I only know firebird because of Rise of the Guardians when Santa was singing it in the factory. I had that entire scene memorized and I kept replaying when I was younger. Love firebird ❤
@@LexLuxray Just learn bassoon and play it like it's meant to be! 🤣 It's a lot of fun, though I will say bassoon is not an easy instrument and managing reeds will be the bane of your existence
HOLY SHIT WE PLAYED THIS SONG FOR OUR LAST CONCERT (HIGHSCHOOL CONCERT BAND AND NOT THE LEVEL 6 BAND IN OUR SCHOOL EVE) Edit: I PLAYED THE TIMPANI I had straight 16th notes for like >20 measures:D 🫠
