I think they still hit, look at the dmg numbers a bit under his chest there are dmg numbers coming from his ,,legs“ and he still get the stacks for his LFR

​@__NORO__ hard to say for sure but I'd half to assume that the grenades still missed. The numbers you see are because the Euphony causes thredlings to spawn on target location

Only some hit, def needs to aim higher and if by some miracle they hit way down below the DMG is going to be way less than if he aimed higher and did crits instead. W/e tho, in the end it's all about staying alive and when you're in these situations it can be hard to stay level headed when you're sliding to the left and hopping around lol

Nades were indeed hitting the bottom of the witness. Look carefully and you can see the damage numbers behind the bosses health bar

the lines on the ground tell you and the second one is always on the opposite side of the first attack. and you can tell when you jump based on his hands

every attack has a different hand movement

Of course it didnt replace strand, strand is broken. I do think that casually prismatic is most powerful because if you dont understand how to or dont want to make a build, prismatic is almost always the best option

Not everyone wants to play on hunter even if they have insane damage

@@delev11 the point is he’s not representing DPS in the video because there’s hunters doing crazy DPS along side of him and we don’t get to see any statistic on what his build actually done. For all we know the hunters carried

@@seanallen9 I remember seeing a video of a 6 man warlock team with euphony one phasing the witness. Granted that video was recorded during strand surge, but even then they should still do a lot of damage. Also there's only one hunter on the team according to the title, so unless the remaining 4 are straight up ass, the hunter should only be doing 1/4 to 1/3 of the damage.

Same reason why raid bosses don't do their instakill wipe moves immediately, because that would be boring.

You were probably on a strand surge on that week. Are you even looking at the buff for his weapon where he has max 25 stacks

I see one of them hit the witnesses forehead with an "Immune". I'm guessing it's just for the sever debuff and not damage

Nova cataclysm is a very bad idea for this boss as it's large and will block all bullets that people accidentally shoot at it instead of at the boss. You need to use the vortex nova bomb.

@@swiggity97 no, vortex would be more in the way than cataclysm it doesnt get in the way at all any of the times tested

@theoriginalbeanboy cataclysm moves slow, blocks bullets, and breaker into pieces. Vortex moves fast, doesn't block bullets, and doesn't break into pieces. Vortex never gets in the way.

You occasionally see the grenade damage numbers at the very bottom of the screen when he looks down a bit and you can see the spindle buff stacking up. The grenades are hitting

The point of the grenade is to get the spindle buff as high as possible. Hitting the boss is like cherry on top.

@@OthersideSparrow Yes, but no. Like a very big part of the damage is coming from the threadlings, especially when he is on strand and probably on the fragment that buffs threadling damage. Also he ddnt even shot much even with the Spindle buff at 25x stacks so he coulda got more damage using a normal linear. The whole point of the linear is to use the whole reserves while on spindle 25x, so reaching the number but then shooting 3 or 4 times isnt doing much

Im sure you could but youd have to aim a lot more bc u have to aim way up with cataphract and then back down with the linear. Not to mention surges are going away like next week or smthn so it doesnt matter anymore

​@@Bitter765Because running surges in your legs to maximize damage is actually risky just to pump up your weekly surge even more. With the surges gone, people can use more survivability mods in the legs, like better already, not to mention kinetic damage is getting buffed. I guess this is the beginning of the Microcosm era.

That's an armor mod to boost strand damage. They mean that there's no surge modifier for strand.
