I don't think these were staged. I've seen situations like this. People are definitely do all of those things. I think things quieter in the U.K. maybe those were staged, but it's how some people behave. Most are lucky they weren't shot. It's just 2 different cultures.

Wasn't a thief, but speaking of being bullied at a bar...this guy must have been 6'6" 250lbs (I'm 6'1" and he towered over me) and he kept bumping into me at the bar. I said something to him once, and he just laughed and ignored me. Then he started doing it on purpose. I said to my friends, "I swear to god if this guy bumps into me again.." and he did, because he heard me and was right next to me. So...anticipating that he was gonna do it again, I had my back to him and pulled out my pocket knife, and held it near my hip but kinda hidden...sure enough, he bumped into me and got nipped on the side of his ass. Needless to say, he stopped when he saw my blade. No need to cause a scene and his ego was too big to let himself look like he got punked in front of his friends. It's also a pretty intimidating and sharp black knife that is just under the legal limit that I'm allowed to carry here in NY. Only time I've ever had to use it other than cutting open packages or just as a tool lol
