Worth explaining that stock (and likely native animals) will not drink out of water contaminated with soap and detergents. I think you can get some soap which is "okay" but best to not risk it.
Agree with no soap in the river lease guys, came here specifically to say it and found others had too. Life in the river is compromised. As already mentioned take out buckets for your use and leave the river alone please.

Just found your Channel and liked your video and the content. Just a suggestion to not use soap in the creeks and waterholes to wash yourselves. It is detrimental to the water quality and all those who need to use it. suggest you collect water in a bucket and wash away from the creek. Otherwise I liked your video.
Hiya! Yep that’s fair. We will totally take that on the chin. We normally pride ourselves on being environmentally conscious but this was one moment after a hard day where we should’ve prioritised it & we didn’t. We’ll totally wear that criticism & take it onboard to do better in the future. We are FAR from perfect. This is a channel about portraying our REAL lives not perfection or pretending to do the right thing but will strive to do better in this regard. Thx for yr feedback Mark, Suzette, Captain Frank & Simon (was it?). We appreciate your support!
Man that poor couple! Like you say doesn't take anything to stop and check if someone is ok, especially in those remote locations. Well done for helping them out.
Really loved watching you guys today Great job in helping the other people that rolled there trailer happy to subscribe and give you a 👍🏻 Happy travels 🍻
Thx guys! Appreciate the feedback so much! The boys did actually discuss Tony’s “tie wire” not quite as tough as good ole fencing wire though! Good tip 👍👍. There’s times where we feel like everything’s held on with tie wire, depending how remote we are!! 😆🙌
Still experiencing some awesome footage stace, aling with some pretty bone shuddering ruts on those tracks....live those Boab trees, interesting how those ones were in circle. Hope that unfortunate family with the trailer mishap managed to replace and continue on their experiences too. Xxx
Great campsites 👍 Boat ramp at Christmas time, cracked me up. I know exactly what you were on about 😂😂 Abandoned and burnt out wrecks on the side of the road are a great source of nuts and bolts (saved me at Cape York a couple of times) Nice job on the trailer recovery 🏆🏆 Just a pity the fix didn’t last
Just watched your NZ episode great to hear that you have fully recovered stacey . Boy the kids have a great life the mount what a great part of NZ I'm watching from Taranaki. We left new Plymouth early 2020 cover hit us and we where stuck in northern NSW and the gold coast for 18 months hopping to get back soon to carry on our travels.
Thx Kim! Appreciate your support! As recovered as I can be! High chance of reoccurrence in the first year but coming up to 1 year since I finished treatment in feb 🤞🤞. Not going to let it rule me until then!! So are you in NSW now or back home in Taranaki?
Nooooo ... please dont use soap in out waterholes and creeks ... jump in, get wet, grab a bucket of water, walk well away from the creek and soap up, rinse off with the bucket then you can go back swimming. that water is used by people and animals to drink ... soap stuffs it up !!
I hope kiwis know that using soap in a river is a No-No in Australia. I bet they would object if visitors to NZ did that in their rivers. Wash at least 100metres from a river .
👏👏👏 well done guys excellent video. Check out these kiwis exploring the third island 😂 just a little joke between me and them. Firstly welcome to country and appreciate your time and effort to document your travels with children. When you travel this great country remember to be respectful and patient like these kiwis who gave up there time to help others, not saying others don’t help, they do. A few words like are you ok can make all the difference to those in need picking them up after a bad experience of a break down. You don’t need to be a mechanic to help. You may be able to give an idea or help out with what ever you have. To your children 👏👏 well done enjoying your holidays and each other’s company and to the young girl who explained about the indigenous art thank you. Sending you all good spirits to guide you on your journey and keep you all safe on your holidays. Wishing you all a great Christmas and wonderful New Year.
Thank you so much for your kind words! Kids are loving getting to know about the indigenous culture here & all the amazing wildlife and geography this country has to offer!
Correct no matter where you are out bush = you could be the difference between life and death... it's almost as low as stealing people's camping gear when they are not there... shameful to all who do.........
Mate - take a good look. His seatbelts on! It’s the same Color as his shirt! It’d be beeping away endlessly at us otherwise in the background! We’ve got 3 kids - we are not going to encourage them to not wear a seatbelt! If you’ve got nothing better to do than cast the first stone go cast it elsewhere.
@@barefootkiwis Check first couple of minutes of vid? I can’t see a belt of any colour? 50 or so seconds running to about 2mins 30? Casting stones? Nah, don’t think so.
We arent even on a road there! We are going less than 15km up a tiny unmarked bush track getting in and out clearing debris and checking the track. Trust me - our seatbelt alarm goes on and on and drives us nuts! Quite often I get out to get the drone up and jump back in, we start taking off and the blimmin thing goes off everytime! And then I'm trying to click it on with my hands full of the drone remote. Its a bit of a standing joke because I do it so often!
