If I was a science teacher, I would definitely put a marine tank in my classroom. I use to like chemistry in school, but after getting my first marine tank about 8 years ago, I love chemistry! Well done! 😊👍
I love that youre offering some kind of deals to teachers! I think we have all had science teachers that had really crappy goldfish bowls, its very cool to encourage proper tank keeping for schools! I know aquariums really bring out the scientist in me, hopefully you inspire many children indirectly and through your youtube vids!
Great Video as Usual March! I’m really enjoying this series! Lucy is talking more on the videos, I hope in a couple more videos she is on camera showing off her classroom tank! 🥰 so we can see how proud she is of the reef Casa! 👊🍻😉🥰
doesn't changing the filter instead of just rinsing it in old tank water essentially just restart the cycle and get rid of all the beneficial bacteria that was in the filter sponge?
Maybe you should ask the guy at iSeaLive to make a custom roller filter for the Reef Casa? Even with having to manually roll the filter it should be a lot easier for someone just starting out and you don’t need to get your hands wet. I don’t think I would ever start a new tank without a roller filter, though on a nano it may be a bit overkill.
@@unimaginablegore He was being sarcastic saying it was a Chicago Sunburst - they are super expensive, in the tank its just a normal bubble-tip anemone maybe a rose or tri colour one, you can find them anywhere.

tanks in schools will likely fail, the temperature fluctuations and the custodians using chemicals in the air to clean will both likely wipe a tank out.
My nem found a little rock crevasse less than 10cm from where I first dropped him and hasn't moved in over 6 months. My clowns also won't host on it... although the one has started occasionally flossing with it so I hold out hope.
I agree with adding anemone’s fairly soon, myself with my Anenome tank I set the tank up, added my chosen enzym bacteria additive left for around a week, add some phosphate to read 0.030 and nitrate to 5 then I add my nems, fish I don’t add till around 3-4 week mark, nems have lots of bacteria on there flesh which help to seed the tank further, and the tank conditions are pretty stable with no fish, I feed the nems once a week after adding once settled and this helps to cycle further, they stand more chance of staying put in my experience this way, cool you donate to the school, great education and mental stimulation for school kids to respect the ocean and learn
It is fine. I myself and many others use tap water for there tanks. Also the conditioner removes metals, chlorine and other stuff. Filtered water is cleaner however it’s not needed.
The clown host or not debate is kinda dumb. Maybe the marine terms get switched around but If I have friends ( clown fish) over to my house ( nem) I am hosting my friends they are not hosting me. It should be black and white and I get confused because sometimes big names in the hobby say clowns are hosting the nem, Goni, whatever. And those same people say the nem is hosting a clown in the same video so WTF is it?? A Goni or nem or whatever is the host. The host with the most
