When to change a ProVent Filter

Yes Rebecca, A blocked or poor quality catch will not be filtering correctly can defiantly lead to bigger problems. If you have a catch can fitted make sure you keep an eye on the filter and change it when necessary.

The water is just condensation. How many km's have you done with the can fitted ? Feel free to send us an email Sales@costeffective.com.au

They are just the standard oil / fuel resistant. "Gates Engine Hose" Should do the trick. Cheers

Daniel, if it is genuine filter the new models have a slightly different filter with no vent in the cap ... The vent has been moved internally and is part of the replacement filter.

@@costeffectivemaintenance4614 If the relief valve is in the bottom of the filter, where does it relief to if not going to outside the catch can....??? Also what does the bottom valve do and vent to...???

@@Croozzen HI John , The new new filters have the relief valve built into the filter. It will then vent via the output valve on the output side of the catch can. FYI You can still use the new filter in the existing can. Mann & Hummell reccomend draining every 5000Km and replaceing filter every 40 000KM

Thanks for the tip! What kind of fuel gasoline, diesel does it matter?? Is there any other substance we can use to proply clean it which is also a solvent like acetone?
