What a great advice for those who are already aware. Emotional attachment puts us all in deep trouble. This generation needs upfront rules @ the hiring. But we know this stuff already, it's not cruelty. It's just about open our eyes to real life. Thanks again, A.
Hey Adam. Can you make a video on moving into a more competitive market? I just moved from Chattanooga to Nashville and there are a LOT more roofing companies up here who knock doors and it seems like 9/10 times I can’t even get another word in after saying anything about “Roofer”. It’s pretty discouraging and I’d love to hear your thoughts on this.
This is a great question. The answer varies based on the following: 1) Storm 2) Retail 3) Leads provided, or self generated? 4) Seasonality For whatever it's worth, I work with companies who company wide AVERAGE sales per rep is $2.5M/yr and they are working on increasing that to $3M. They are the largest in their market and 100% retail - so sales reps are running leads all day every day. On the other hand, I work with many storm damage companies where reps are self generating leads. They are averaging $750k - $1.2M/per rep. To help you come up with your answer - ask yourself this question, "What is the minimum # of sales someone who is actually working full time and giving this their all should be making?"
That is what I was thinking and we utilize those five traits when we hire. Just wondering if they were the same ones in this situation. Glad to know I was on the right track. Thank you both
