As the end of the school year approaches, it's the season of contracts, resumes, promotions, transfers, retiring, or just plain quitting. This is a time for teachers to reflect on their careers, what worked, what didn't work, and what we want from being a teacher. The biggest questions many of us have are, should we transfer or quit teaching, and how do we know which of those choices is right for us? The truth is, we can never completely know, but if we keep a few important things in mind, I think it makes our decisions much clearer.
