What is the plugin named "Current" in your Minimal folder?

Thank you for the great products. I'm using almost all of them now, I'm a little confused about whether the fuse compressor has linear phase or lookahead and if not, why is it important?
@MinimalAudio
@MinimalAudio 10 месяцев назад
Thanks for the support! We use minimum phase crossovers because we wanted to avoid pre-ringing (especially in the low frequencies), it's more CPU efficient, and linear phase on crossovers that go as low as these would require quite a bit of latency compensation. We focused on having very clean attack/release envelopes instead of relying on lookahead, but we'd like to add that feature in the future!

@@MinimalAudioi have OxyOtt, it has linear phase and it doesn't create pre ringing, at least in my case, and I have made like 12 tracks with it already

@@MinimalAudio Wondering why band crossovers are required at all - couldn't you recreate something very similar to the overall gain readout using a series of dynamic high and low shelving filters? When I saw that dynamic white curve on the UI I assumed that was what was going on
@MinimalAudio
@MinimalAudio 8 месяцев назад
There's a few reasons I could think that would work. one being that the filters would likely not modulate as well as a steam of gain computations. there would also be many many more filters to recreate the db/oct curves around the cutoffs at six bands. The response sort of looks like a filter cause it also displays the bleed from the crossover rolloffs in its display, but doing that purely as a filter would have a lot of downsides.

why mine has a white noise? its so annoying. Can you please explain that. it seems to only go away when I turn off the upward compression.
@MinimalAudio

If there's noise from the upward compression it's bringing up the noise floor from your sound

Do you have mastering template within Fuse? That would help .
@MinimalAudio
@MinimalAudio 10 месяцев назад
We actually don't recommend Fuse Compressor for mastering. We spent a lot of time on the audio quality but the controls and ranges are more for sculpting individual tracks instead of fine adjustments. It doesn't mean you can't try it, though!

Does Fuse result in the same phase issues as OTT?

yes :( I wish they would add a Linear Phase option @Minimal Audio

Wait what, ott creates phasing issues? I haven't noticed that but I also don't put it on anything sub 100 Hertz. When you say it's phasing out what frequency range are we talking about?

Yo guys, i got an ephifhany, u guys could make an vector synth with same animation system like morph eq. for max sculpting effect, let the user morph between 4 diffrent wavetables. and include a next-gen wavetable creator that makes it easier to create the right tones. Could also include an fft sound creation system, so u can draw out how sound should be played. im also wondering if u guys could innovate a new toneshaping technology for audio synthesis, we got FM AM and filters so on. what about inventing something new? (PS it would be very cool to be able to turn samples into multi-osclayered synth presets, like tomofon, and dna synth tree?
