After years of struggling with the lawn I find your channel with perfect advice. We are now on the right path to our perfect lawn. Thank you ever so much, been watching and taking notes from the channel over past 2 weeks. Bought a sprinkler from the link but until it arrives I will water manually using hose sprayer nozle. Turf laid yesterday and followed all your advice. Taken me 2 weeks to start over and prep the ground etc....This new lawn really has been my labour of love!

@@Premier_lawns_official I hand pulled the weeds before putting down new seeds, now new grass is coming along and weeds are coming through too, I have a liquid feed and weed, do you think i can put that on grass after 1st mow to get rid of weeds?

I've just had to re over seed our lawn as my April effort was impacted by the week of wet weather that hit the south-east corner - this time I've used some shade tolerant seed. Good clear video for UK gardeners . I watch some American videos and they just are not relevant to our Northern Ireland climate . I have two lawns that have recovered from earlier scarification and aeration . Both have been fed with seaweed every two weeks but I am a bit puzzled that one half of the front lawn is not growing so well .Could it be getting too much water , as the half I am talking about is the side the water drains off on . What are the signs to look for if I am over-watering Keep posting, it is really appreciated , especially that Belfast accent . Thanks
great vid, I have been watering my lawn each evening (lawn from seed) Its coming along now, just need the patches to fill in, never done this before, getting it level was a nightmare, I guess there are tools and tricks I don't know about.

Hi Robbie great videos on lawn care,really enjoying them. we layed our lawn 2 years ago,it was a kind of rush job because of other projects in the house, all finished now so the lawn in going to get some TLC. thinking of top dressing to acheive a better level and resow with grass seed. what type of grass seed would you recommend, we in Drogheda Co. Louth
Great tips, especially the tuna can. I wish we have a website to calculate water costs for lawn. We do get dryer summer here, I always let the grass go dormant but this year I'll like to irrigate. 👍🏽

Since lockdown began I'm slowing turning into a budget Alan titchmarsh! I don't really know what I'm doing but your channel has been great for tips and advice! Subscribed! If a part of your lawn doesn't recover after regular watering and is most likely dead, is there anything you can do during the summer or do you just leave it until it becomes cooler/wetter?

Yet again another simple explanation of gardening. This time it was about watering. It was very informative. I have a question that maybe you could answer please. Due to the lockdown I have been unable to have a new lawn lain. Should I still do it when the company can fit me in or should I wait until later in the season now?
@@Premier_lawns_official Just been on the website. So easy to use. I have to water my Mother's lawn and at 20m squared it only cost 72p for a one inch soaking. Happy days. Being part Scottish though - I might take the opportunity to jump under the sprinkler and take a shower :). Look forward to your next video as always. Premier Lawns Hi again! Gotta ask, I tried your tuna can tip and I placed it about a meter from my sprinkler. However after more than two hours it was not even half full. I use a Gardena oscillating Zoommaxx sprinkler which covers quite some area but is your method not applicable to all sprinklers? Or could it be that I actually would let it sit there for more than 4 hours? Thanks again! Love your channel!
Hi Robbie, I am from Ukraine. Watering is a most difficult in our region, because for example in summer we have +30 degrees! So, please be so kind, tell me please about watering . Is enough twice a week for 3 inches each time ?
Hey Robbie, thanks for all the advice. I've been following your guidance on. How can I get rid of this annual meadow grass? I have several patches of it on my lawn and it's looks cat. I use weed and feed at recommended intervals and I water regularly. I have scarified and aerated the lawn this spring.
Hi. Superb video again. I have a hayter as well. What setting would you cut grass on in the summer? I’m using the 4th setting up, but the lawn does look neater when cut on the third setting up but is that too short with all this heat at the moment?

Hi Robbie, great channel! I layed some turf 6 days ago, and there's a fair amount of the meadow grass in it. Do I need to pull it all out? And if so will I have to wait until I can walk on it, in a week or so's time?
Hi I used a weed identification app and it came back as cinquefoil reptans ? Potentilla . Etc and says it generally grows in neglected waste grounds lol I tried lawn weedol on it but too early should I try again? It's covered in it

Loving the Chanel Robbie! .Even though we are giving the lawn a really good soaking there are areas where it is so hard underneath the water is just running off it.I am going to hire a core aerator in September and then top dress /seed etc but thinking the machine will just bounce off those areas if I don't sort something out before..I have seen a product from the USA called Humic12 which is supposed to help relieve soil compaction.Do you know if there is a product in the Uk which does the same.Many thanks
Hi Robert, it's been super dry recently. It's going to take a while to get water into some parts of the lawn. Something to look at is wetting agents. Do a google search...
I have a very small square back garden (6 metres x 6 metres) but need a sprinkler that’ll be good for small gardens. Reckon the hozelock ones will work?
Nice one Robbie. Could you advise a good way to safely feed during hot dry weather? I'll be watering as per your instructions but I've always been weary about feeding in these conditions
So doing this on your grass during the summer period without the back box will not cause loads of thatch? How often would you recommend cutting like this as in the summer period I cut mine every 3 days??
@@Premier_lawns_official yeah sorry I use a Honda HRB425c self propelled rear roller I cut it on the highest setting at all times it is cut every 3 days during the growing season it's fed every 4 weeks with granulated fertilizer and every two weeks with a liquid feed.. hope this helps? 👍🏻
Just seeded my lawn a few weeks ago...have a lot of weeds...what do you suggest to kill weeds amongst the grass...I haven't cut it yet as I'm scared it's too soon
Can't treat for weeds for at least 10 weeks after seeding lawns. Always check the label to make sure it's ok to do so as most weed killers will be much longer
Great video as always Robbie! Quick question... My dog wees on my grass and leaves brawn patches everywhere! I water my grass every 3 days but that doesn't stop the brown patches from appearing. Is there anything I can put on the brown patches or stop it from happening in the first place?

Hi Robbie, loving your videos. With the circular sprinkler, do you know if it can be lowered down for a small garden in a new build house, the gardens probably about 10mx10m max I think.

Got the lawn from hell, full of trefoil clover, weed grass, moss and bald patches 😫 going to try to renovate it as can’t afford to dig it up. It’s 160 sq m. Any videos you can point me to to help?
