Come and spend a day with us in London trying out three unusual things tourist may not know about on their visit to London, England. We are spending the day coal hole rubbing, mudlarking, geocaching and looking through the Charles Dickens Museum.

Those covers on the sidewalks remind me of the cool manhole covers we saw while we were in Japan.

Yes 🙂 I have heard of those covers even more detailed than the London ones I think. Will definately film them if we ever get to Japan.

@@GeoRick I did get some in a few of my Japan videos. They were pretty cool!

Very interesting. Most of us would probably never give the coal hole covers a second thought. Thanks for highlighting that. The mudlarking could be really addictive. Geocaching? Never heard of it. LOL

ha haI I think you might have heard of it. Yes mudlarking does draw you in like geocaching does. Hunting for little treasures 🙂 We are heading back there soon hoping to find something special in the mud.

Anyone using metal detectors while mudlarking

Yes and with good sucess but its a difficult place to search as there is so much metal waste. Searching by eye is still a very good method on the Thames foreshore.
