Do you think it is possible for Catholics to say salah ? I don't want to offend my God. It is just that you said that salah makes you feel good and I'd like to give it a try

Reading quran following the meaning helped me a lot. Specially when I thought of my problem I was stuck with, I opened a random page of Quran and started to read until I got the answer. And subhaan Allah the answer was always there. I call it the random reading. I learned it from a organization

Domestic violence: Compassion, empathy, validation is important. Turn to Allah. There is nothing better that I could do for someone. I could give a suggestion but I don’t know anything. The first half of istikhara is acknowledging that I don’t know anything. Whoever puts Allah first, Allah will make a way out from them and provide for them from places they will never imagine. Who is the provider, Allah is. This is reality. It is not a really cool quote that I can put on Facebook. The prescription is already there but we are just not taking the medicine. It is the salah and on time. We need to go back to improving the quality of your salah. It is a two way conversation. Working on the quality of Salah is important. At the minimum work on what you are saying. Pray as if it is your last prayer. Practically each day make sure you have the remembrance of Allah in the morning and evening. If you get an app on your phone for my dua. This is life changing. If you do it consistently you will see a huge difference in your mental and emotional state. Istighfar- realise that repentance is something we have to do consistently. The reason for that is I have to consistently clean my heart to be clean. Daily connection with the Quran that is quality over quantity. In life, keep bringing it back to your focus. Keep reorienting your heart. It is very easy to be caught up in the beauty standards, the fashion, the money. But come back to focus. After everything else is gone what will last is Allah. It is not about being perfect- we expect perfection from ourselves and others. It will be a tool from shaytaan. It is about striving and keeping the hope. I am as my Slave thinks of me. We should always assume the best of Allah. How that translates is that when something happens inn my life. I should not interpret it in a negative way. I should know the trial will purify me and that I will continue to thrive in a positive way. The commandment of Salah came in the year of sadness. This was one of the hardest times in the prophets life. It was in the most difficult times in his life that he was given salah. Allah says seek help in patience and prayer. The salah should not be a burden. Salah was given a refugee. We have to find solace in salah. When I am in a good place inside then I am able to act outside. Okay to take action- be patient and preserve. There is no such thing as put up with oppression. Istikhara is not just a ritual but it is a prayer for asking Allah to guide us. In addition to istikhara, I do mutual consultation. What about not trusting scholars and are guilt tripped by them? The prophet said, “ Get the fatwa from your heart”. If I am in a good state inside my heart becomes a compass. When my heart isn’t clean it can’t be a compass because it is dirty -if I clean the heart through Quran, dua and dhikr, I then ask and consult Allah. Get the fatwa from your heart even if they give you another and another fatwa. If you are anxious and experiencing mental instability, that clouds your judgement and so you need to first deal with this before you can determine and distinguish truth from falsehood- look into Ustadh Abdul Rahman Murphys Tafseer of Surah Kahf on the section of Dhul Qarnayn and the people of Gog and Magog. He removed their fear by helping them before giving them dawah. 1) Do not be overstimulated. For example listening to things like music excessively because this puts you in a hyperactive state that causes your thoughts to race. This causes you to speed and get pumped up and angry. Spend time in meditation. Do dhikr in this time to offset this hyperactive state that can cause your thoughts to race. 2) Challenge the anxious thoughts. Remember feelings are not facts and feelings and emotions should always be guided by intellect/reason and this intellect is from knowledge of our tradition. Thoughts are either from Allah sent via angels or Satan. Even neutral thoughts are from Allah because they are a miracle from god. See if all the humans in the world gathered together could they produce a machine that could create a thought. Self deprecating thoughts are bad therefore they are from Shaytaan because Allah doesn’t want you to be sad and to hate yourself. “Do not be sad indeed Allah is with us”. 3) Remember the Hadith that says forbearance and deliberation is from Allah and hastiness is from shaytaan.
