Hi Rob and Patricia! Thanks for sharing your helpful experiences and insights. As fellow prospective 2020 Lagoon owners, set to take delivery at the factory in June, we face many of the same uncertainties and really value your informative posts. Alan and I had planned to head across the Bay of Biscay toward the Med, too. With an unknown delivery date, combined with the unknowns stemming from the Coronavirus pandemic (ie border closures) our plans are also now completely up in the air. We continue to get more questions than answers lately. But, the dream is still alive in our hearts and we hope for the best. Your positive outlook on the situation is inspiring. We can come out stronger on the other side of all this with a healthy dose of compassion, flexibility and optimism. Our predicament is simply nothing compared to those who are truly suffering. And, right now, of course we pray foremost for healing and restoration for those afflicted and for our nations. Please keep sharing about your plans as you adapt to the circumstances. Al and Caroline ! Wow Such nice and conforming words. Honestly I was a little hesitant to expose our predicament with boat delivery when out there I see so many suffering. I am very happy to hear we are able to help and inform with our videos. Our objectives to keep the dream alive as we will get thru all of this together. Our boat delivery date from factory to go to Les sables was June 6th, and we were planning to take delivery last week of June +~. Let’s see how all of this will play out. Olá Eduardo, espero que esteja tudo bem com Vocês! Olha, como Você nesse último vídeo pediu a nossa opinião. Se sou Você, ao invés de pegar o barco em set ou out/20, deixaria pra pegar no início de 2021. Estaria pegando o mesmo barco 1 ano mais novo.👍

Sergio Isatransportes Bom dia Sérgio ! Espero que esteja bem. Primeiramente obrigado por nos deixar sua opinião, e sem duvida muito importante para nós. Estamos cada vez mais inclinados a tentar mover a data para o 2021. Nosso contrato deixa claro que a fábrica pode atrasar até 90 dias a entrega mas acima disso podemos cancelar a compra e receber o depósito de volta. Nosso objetivo não é o cancelamento e sim a compra e utilização do barco. Caso as fronteiras não estejam abertas totalmente eu acho que não seria mesmo a melhor opção seguir a diante para nos com o barco esse ano. Como a situação e super dinâmica estamos esperando o máximo possível para tomar qualquer decisão, mas sem duvida no próximo mês já teremos mais visibilidade. Grande abraço e saúde por aí !

@@SailingJoy em relação aos 90 dias e por se tratar de uma situação Mundial de Pandemia, acho que algo mudaria nesse contrato. Mas, o mais importante é que pegando esse ano ou ano que vem, tenho certeza que serão muito felizes neste novo barco. Moro em Porto e meu barco fica em Vigo. Se precisar de algum Tripulante, me fala e vou com maior prazer. E se não precisar, no caminho pra Sul quiser dar uma paradinha em Porto podemos jantar juntos bem pertinho da Douro Marina Qualquer apoio que precisar, pode contar Comigo! Hi Eduardo , is it possible to share with us your experience once you took Joy in les Sables ? As you mentioned you had several defaults and pb to fix by the Lagoon partner. It will be great as we plan to buy one 42 in the 2021 and jump in another life with my wife and son. I follow since the start your videos, all your advices are a treasure of experience for me. Thanks a lot and keep going to share your expertise and recommendations. Olivier

Les Sables started work again last week,. We were stepped last week! Hard top bimini being installed this coming week. Still don’t know how or when we can take delivery.

Yr Wynt we also heard the same. The issue now is when we are able to take delivery. Only professional crews are allowed to get boat and sail away but still lots of uncertainty of when each country will open boundaries and allow entrance. Crossing our finger here to be soon. It looks like for us that would be coming from outside of Europe, it will not be before September. Stay safe.

Outra coisa qu disse que gostei muito. É, receber o barco sem pressa! A impressão que tive quando recebi o meu foi que tinha que receber as pressas! Veja tudo com muita calma, pra não ser surpreendido depois!

Sergio Isatransportes Exatamente ! A última vez fui super pressionado para receber o barco e cair fora da marina. Sem duvida com mais experiência agora será um processo melhor. Mudamos de dealer que só isso já tenho certeza ajudará muito no processo de entrega. Vejo cada vez mais como é importante selecionar profissional correto na compra do barco ! E sem duvida, nada de pressa dessa vez para receber o barco! Uma vistoria sólida e necessária para ter um pouco menos de dor de cabeça depois ! Abração.

Better late than never 😊 After talking with several people I found an alternative to the frequency converter I mentioned before. It is lighter and cheaper for connecting to different shore power frequencies and voltages while traveling. Best of all, it can be setup with off the shelf items. Let me know if you are still interested.

Sailing Joy sure. Here it goes: Install a permanent GFCI in the boat where you connect shore power. After this install an isolation transformer, and after this install a Skylla converter. The isolation transformer, IT, will take the shore power at any voltage and frequency and either send it at 230V at 50-Hz. This is fixed once you choose the model of IT. Based on the Skylla converter models you might have to choose the IT with a fixed voltage of 230V. The Skylla converter will take the output of the IT, and it will convert this to a DC voltage. You store this in batteries. You connect your inverter to the batteries, and when you turn on a house appliance, you get electricity from the inverter. In addition, the isolation transformer will provide your boat with galvanic isolation. If the grounding is done correctly, this should, also, provide a chasis type of grounding like you have in a car.
