This was totally a fun idea but i think that since flights can use a lot of energy, resources, and have an impact on the environment, they should probably try to maximize the number of people on the flight.
@@anshaabdul1089 nah the aircraft is needed where its going. if it was just a regular day the flight would be cancelled and he would have been rebooked
i had a flight delayed by like 14 hours nobody gave up💀 and it was full of kids too it was literal hell 14h in the airport and 3-4h in the plane with kids
@@NoscoperSanssounds like spring break or some other high vacation time when most flights are booked up. When this happened I think it was fall or some other slow period, at least that's when I first heard of it.
I got delayed by 24hrs and it was not fun, I was with school and no one gave up. The organisation was terrible (from the airplane/airport not teachers) and 2 teachers stayed behind (in the other country) because the stress made them physically sick. So the 3 teachers left shepherded 50 student, checking bags in (even though we had queued up before the check in was open) took so long we ran through the airport and the teachers ran to the nearest cafe and bought 50 mini pizzas on the school credit card.
No cause this is what attendants want to do, but they get so tired and it's kind of freeing to only need to care for one person who clearly has a sense of humour and isn't a pain.
They don’t have to work barely u would see me happier than hell being at work a not having to deal with anything barely at all id cry a little not cleaning up after 2nd shift because they never do their jobs an then if third doesn’t do what they didn’t we hear form third shift in the morning like it was our faults it wasn’t done not dealing with that for a day absolutely bliss
Happened to me once back in the 80s... Almost. I was on a flight to the mainland from Guam. It was my mom, my two little sisters, perhaps three other people and myself. The stretch from Hawaii to Frisco was packed to the gills, though. I remember the Captain coming back to tell my sisters and me to not go up and down the aisle so much because he could feel it in the cockpit. He kept having to adjust the trim more than usual. He thought it was amusing. That flight came to mind 20 years later when I was in flight school and found out how load shift effects flight characteristics. It's more pronounced in commercial airliners because of the proportionally longer and thinner fuselage. That's why flight crews prefer that you stay in your seat as much as possible, and a very big reason why you MUST stay seated during takeoff and landing - the most dangerous parts of any flight.
@@Garfuck No. An introvert can be absolutely comfortable in a social or group setting where they can easily avoid being the main focus of attention. Not the case on this flight.
Things like that happen from time to time. I remember Air Canada flights are like busses, they gotta keep moving. Once a huge 767 with only 6 passengers on it.
I literally had that happen to me lol. I was one of literally 9 people on the plane, and they refused to let me sit in first class after 12-hour delay. I will say one of the most exciting flights of my life because we took off at like a 75 degree angle of attack because the plane was so light
Sometimes they have to send the plane anyway as it would be booked for another flight leaving the destination for this flight. Same with the flight crew. They may as well send the one passenger with them.
Yeah often the plane has to go to a new destination anyway. The resulting flight is called an "empty leg" flight and you can usually get the tickets cheap af but usually they're just dead empty. It happens a lot more often for private jets but whole day delays can cause them on commercial flights. Truth be told I don't know if most commercial airlines even bother trying to sell the flights anymore lol.
actually some times flights take off with nobody , they're called "ghost flights" the only reason they're done is because if an airline doesn't do enough flights it doesn't get to use that airport , so if there's not enough demand for those flights they fly with nobody.
Yeah especially since they hade to drag them from the hotel just for you. I would just rebook unless it was incredibly important like one of my parents in the hospital dying or something.😅
@@The_Swedish_Knight don't worry it's not because of you lol, the planes has to arrive at another destination anyways to get the passengers from there, so you're just getting along.
I would be too. It’s terrible and self centered to drag the crew from the hotel to serve just you. Only unless it was an emergency like a loved one dying or something of that magnitude might this be ok. Otherwise I would wait
@@Pedakinthey still have formalities to do. Like the demonstration. They still have to do their in flight duties. It’s just potentially much easier ie much less calls from passengers, less food to hand out if they do, etc. not dealing with the people is surely amazing and the increased interpersonal connection between them as well ie them sitting in the passenger seating. Not to say I don’t doubt they enjoyed it, but it’s still work and they still have stuff they’re required to do. Also some employees may not like it because maybe it makes the time pass slower and they’d have rather not had to have gone. Also they may still be paid a certain amount if the flight is cancelled
@@TNoStone from what ive read, they only get paid for the hours they spend in the air, so this is easy money for them compared to normal. i dont think they get paid for the hours theyre waiting in hotels or in the airport waiting for their next flight
@@StevenAbootmanYe i heard that too. Some time ago i was watching a documentary or so about. Flight crew and if, my memory isn't fucjed up it is like that
You realize they will still get paid the full shift... to just chill and chat for this whole flight since there's no passengers? No. They get to relax AND get full pay.
I got a semi last minute ticket once and the plane was pretty empty. I found an entire empty middle row. Best thing ever. Just lying down over 5 seats and sleeping through the flight (I can't really sleep sitting up unless I'm seriously tired and haven't slept for days) Best flight experience. Vietnam airlines. Good food, lounge access during layover, pretty empty plane for the second stretch Vietnam-Germany. And all of that for half the normally cheapest price for that trip. Back then the cheapest one way Hong kong- Germany tickets were 400 bucks, i booked a few days in advance and it was only 200. (The plane needed to be somewhere else on short notice, so it wasn't filled properly and they sold tickets for cheap to make back at least some of the money)
@@scarllanixie Maybe, most of the times there are other people with on the flight and if you was with someone on the flight you most likely not to be with them on the other flight ✈️ for cabin crews and passengers safety !
Whole crew still got paid, their time counts towards their next rest period (aircraft crewpersons are required to receive 10 hour uninterrupted rest periods, not even phone calls from work!) And got to joke around with the passenger because he's chill about it. Best flight ever.
@@shannonschachOH I get it you're probably the person's mom IRL and you're replying "your mom" because you are his/her actual mom IRL wow you are so funny!! 🤓🤓🤓
Bruh that staff was more than happy to do that flight lmaoo they get to just chill and ride and not have to worry about 20 Karen's 30 chads. Just 1 super chill dude. I bet they had fun
@duke9081 It looked like he was. I think that was a plane that doesn't really have first class, but seats in the front that are more spacious and comfortable than the ones in the back.
@ProudPapaJD 🤣 Well, I mean, some first-class planes have seats that recline into beds, and they have "walls," so they are kinda in their own pod. Ultimate privacy, lol
This dude is definitely charismatic as hell, the fact that he had all of them so comfortable with him to the point that they were making jokes like they were all old friends speaks to the quality of his character. I’m so quiet it def would have been awkward but everyone was so at ease around him despite giving speeches to a single passenger, seems like something that would be awkward but it wasn’t and he was a great sport
That must have been a great experience. As an introvert much like the other post above, I would have had to cancel my own ticket if I found out I was the only one of the flight. I'd never be able to deal with the flight crew all being there just for me.
The crew might of also felt like they were never gonna see the passenger again so why not have fun with it. That's how I view most of my interactions. Why feel upset over something when 10 minutes after I leave the chances of me seeing them again is almost impossible unless we make plans to meet up.
I don't think the media will ever use "luckily" when people are killed. Also, your title is not clickbaity enough. Let me try... "Only passenger on board dies in a plane crash after everybody else refused to board"
@@NASCARorbascarpeopleyeah but they pulled them from their hotel rooms they coulda just kicked back all night but instead had to work and check into a whole new hotel late at night… I’m actually surprised the airline honored the flight and didn’t say sorry too much expense for one person.
@@bounderchriswhy would they cancel his flight? they need to go where the flight goes either way for the connecting flight so the difference is just if they get the money of 1 person more
@@JeffreyRU-vid-t9gThey probably had to get this fight to its destination anyways even of there were no passengers. This one guy joined in and made the flight more fun.
The fact that they didn't get upset after being called back from their hotel and went with it was amazing. That air port is A+ and the people are top teir.
Even the atendants were happy that cause of this guy they also didnt have to deal with people for once and actually enjoyed their job on there time.. mustve been a wonderful experience for each and everyone of them... God Is Good 💯
I flew back to America from Australia when I was 15 and no one was on the flight besides staff and me, this video reminded me so much of that flight. Wasnt my first flight but it was a lot more fun than others.
I was a gate agent for a similar flight out of CO. The lady was a sweetheart, and no one deserved a private flight more than her. ❤ it was crazy boarding 1 person. 😂
@@Schilaniit’s likely that the flight company offered everyone a refund and a bonus because of how long the flight was delayed. This guy was probably the only one to not take them up on their offer for the sake of content. Not to mention the flight was probably really short so the folks decided it was best to just abandon ship and get a different flight.
My longest wait was 30 hours. My connecting flight was one that only happened every other day, and my first flight was delayed 9 hours due to weather. I wasn't particularly happy.
@@aliayesh7506 That makes more sense. In which case this guy is just ridiculous for not taking that other connection and waiting those 18 hours instead.
